@SpillmanCruiser : Been discussed, IIRC M42 x 1.5 (double check that as I forget) but the dies (kit) you linked above are too small.
Double check the thread pitch:

Make things easy for yourself and remove the battery and battery box. Tons of room now. Don't forget to loosen the lock bolt on the belt adjuster and Don't forget to tighten it when the new alternator is in (it will chaff on the drive belt...
At idle with lights on and AC on I see 14.1V. Same scenario driving I see 14.4-14.7V. With no load on battery, while idling, you should see 14-14.7. Not running, at the battery, you should see 12.5-12.8 right after killing the motor. If your...
The OEM switch goes in the square port to the right in your pic. When I back fit a rear locker the receptacle was there on my '94. I down loaded the FSM and ECD for it and they were both spot on.
Hi not sure if I’m doing this right but my boyfriend drives an 80 series it’s 30 years old and I want to buy him some paracord grab handles as a gift, as he has mentioned in the past he would like them someday. I was just wanting to know how...
I just bought my first 80 about a week ago. Changed all oils including front and rear diffs, trans, transfer case. I need to do a coolant flush soon too.
The permatex on my transmission pan has never leaked. I can't remember what it was. I used OEM fipg on the lower oil pan, installed per fsm, and that worked too.
Since the PAIR system seems to be out make sure the vacuum line on the front of the head is plugged. I took mine out and put the O2' sensors in the manifolds (much better position if you ask me).
All three times I had this symptom on my '94 it...
I'll play.
This is our Saint Bernard "Fulton", he'll be 4 in Sept. I have never seen a dog that loves to play in snow as much as him.
He's about 130 lbs, mostly hair I think. He sure leaves enough of it around the house! He also loves to go...
Here are some pics of the way we found him on the property two Saturdays ago...
He had a problem w/ his johnson not retracting, probably due to the cold / no water / no groceries issue. All fits to OEM spec now.
In the last 10 days...
I had a local glass place reinstall my windshield because of a small leak above the steering wheel.
I spoke to the manager about the fsm procedure and emailed a copy of the pages to him. A few days later i called back and he was a bit reluctant...
The Kernal knows, 100% agreement.
These beasts are so over built that not buying the real (and inexpensive) OEM filter is time taken away from real potential issues like the upper Dingle arm Bushings, or, the muffler bearings.
just wanted to add 2 NTK 24080 o2 sensors worked for me. Plug and play. I had a code 21 with awful misfire and sluggish accel that was getting worse. The CEL went away after replacing the forward one. It still ran poor so replaced aft one as...
Definitely not crazy for considering this, although you may have biased opinions in this forum section, but an 80 is a great series to have. Super comfortable to drive (especially when compared to my 40 or 60) and feels super safe to drive in...
For codes 21/ 28 are usually the heater circuit inside the oxygen sensors. Iirc 6 ohms is the spec. Also check for voltage for both heaters. Repair this first and then go after the other two. For 24/ 31 sounds like you're going to need a AFM...
