Got my solar dealio all wired up and running...

Is this why my front diff won't lock? Is there something supposed to be plugged in here? I don't see a plug dangling anywhere. And what is that black tube sticking up behind the plug?

Missing plug is a switch for the locked light should not effect locking. The black tube is a vent, chances are good is the reason your locker does not work. A open vent is letting all kind of nasties in the actuator leading to no workie. Vents should be extended on actuator to avoid problem experienced by many others including myself.

Thanks @LandCruiserPhil and @ToyotaDon!! I'll get back under there in a few minutes and check it out to see if the wiring is stuffed up somewhere and zip tied. Where does the wiring go to? The center diff? If it isn't there I will order new on Monday.

I'm not certain that the front diff doesn't lock. The light on the dash doesn't go solid like the rear and center but it sure is freaking hard to turn the wheel when locked. Is it possible for it to be engaging without the wiring?

I have the O rings for the front and rear actuators so I was planning on taking them apart and servicing them anyway. Do people just extend the breather like they do with diff breathers? Could I "T" the front diff breather and actuator together?

This stuff is new to me. I appreciate the help!

Ends at the locker box pass kick panel

Yes plug missing is the wiring to the locked light switch.

I run all vents separate. My feeling is not to tie all vents together in the event of a break you dont want everything vented together contaminated together.

Wow, so you're calling his girlfriend or wife a hooker???

My daughter is in her early 20's and half the crap she wears in public makes me very uncomfortable (has been that way since she was 15 or so), so I'm always quick to snap off comments like that :o I've called my own kiddo a skank on multiple occasions. No harm intended, and only minor offense intended (hence the :flipoff2: )

Your front diff is not locking. It's hard to turn on high traction surfaces with just the rear engaged. Your wiring harness is missing, there is supposed to be a connector plugged in here. My thread has the part number and routing info.

Keep in mind, I have five sisters. The first four were pregnant by 19. The fifth? Well, let's just say there is zero risk of her getting pregnant :rainbow:
I wouldn't exactly say "zero" risk...

:hhmm:

Anyway...

Ran some errands in the 106* heat, enjoyed the ice-cold AC (particularly @ the crotch vent :hillbilly: ) while maintaining a rock-steady 190* coolant temp.

:grinpimp:

Did not drink beer though.

That problem has recently been remedied.
