Brian,
If'n you're ever down this way, let me know and you're always welcome, my friend. Yes, like you, I'm 45 obsessed and do own a few examples. As way of explanation: not mysterious or secretive; rather publicly private. Personally I...
I still need to get the headliner in, more matting as well as some Dynaliner under the hood. I am surprised and extremely happy with the results. Not sure it’s much worse than my old F engine screaming along at 60 MPH.
Thought it might be cool to start a thread with some old
photos for all you youngsters out there!!
Post up your photo of any model 45 with or without you or
family in the photo.
Lets start at 20 years or older!!
Make sure to put the date...
First engine is pretty much just the block left... and since this block is toast my buddy and I, who is in industrial design at app state, are gonna make a table, will update with results at some point.
Check out this crank damage!
I cant...
I'm no expert either, but what @LDowney said above is exactly what the Mechanics of Materials classes I've taken would suggest. I would also add for more specific context, a 3B has a 20:1 compression ratio, a 13B-T is 17.6:1. If you put 15psi...
Im running stock fueling with a 5 psi boost wastegate spring on my 2B. There's a particular hill that I used to slowly lose speed on, and now I can slowly gain speed! It aint much, but if you're worried about it like I am you can always take it...
Johnathan and his crew just stopped by and took my 45 for a spin. They're doing well, still fighting the heat. I passed the tip along to space out the hood hinges.
They're on their way to SLC now.
A few more pictures
And then this sad picture:
Barrels of rum for Baltazar.
Bad surprise for the Toyota n ° 53 of Vincent Moutou and Sylvain Corroy. While the West Indian duo had just signed 9th place in the stage, their car rolled off at...
That is not ugly at all. It looks pretty sweet. Especially compared to mine. That's some good welding in my book. What did you weld it with? Mine was done with flux core wire and a always hot spool gun powered by 24V aircraft batteries.(a...
Awesome! Sounds like an excellent road trip.
I probably wouldnt be too worried about EGT stock, however I would get an aftermarket temp gauge on there even if only for the trip. I would start by making sure that cooling system is as good as...
How long, in California, will you legally be able to own a Land Cruiser? Also, with a smog check every two years, you're going to be likely chasing codes to make sure you can pass. Each fill up will be $120+. And it will probably be stolen...
Finally taken the old girl out on the road and the drum brake master cylinder seems to work fine with the front disc conversion and OEM rear drums...... just my experience though. I converted to front discs from drums on my 84' BJ45.
