There is a note on Cruiser Outfitters about the 555 coming with no zerks.

But yes, that’s on the list.
You are suppose to read the stuff that falls out of the box? I never read it. We keep the fittings in stock so I never thought about it.

Got the new City Racer booster mounted up with a new Advics master from Cruiser Outfitters.

I put that same combo on mine a couple of months ago, and can hardly believe the improvement in my braking, it is so much better.

Agree. That booster is so legit. I replaced the mini truck booster on my Pig and lt was night and day

You've given me motivation to get started on my latest project. Picking it up Wednesday

From the inside, one side made me hungry for swiss cheese but the other looked ok per North East standards. Once I get it home, I'll make a separate post about it.

Awesome work @wngrog. Glad you could knock this out that quick. Admirable!!

The point that you know your build is fully blessed.

Blessed by a higher being.

Blessed by one born on December 25th.

Blessed by someone with the initials JC.

I’ve had superb luck with City Racer Fuji carburetors. To me, adding this option completely makes the Weber carburetor option obsolete.
That said, they have a basic tune and sometimes it works great for your vehicle and sometimes you have to tweak it.

The only tweaking I want any part of with a carburetor is the idle adjustment screw.

So......my suggestion to folks is “Buy a City Racer carb, get your truck going and enjoy it and then pack up your old carburetor and send it to Jim C. You might get it back in 3 months. Maybe 6.....who knows.

Who cares really because your truck is running on the City Racer carb just fine.

But there is nothing quite like a Jim C carb.

So, back to the blessing.

I sent Weenie 3s carburetor off hoping to suprise the new owner with it down the road.

When @FJ40Jim got the core and inspected it he offered up a 1974 that had already been blessed (tested) and was ready to ship.

The sky opened up and light shined upon Weenie 3.
All Is good with the world.
Amen.

The OEM carb has a return so I had to reinstall that and run the hoses. Next I had to re-bend the feed line.

I had to put a fresh fuel pump on. It was killing me looking at that old one

Buttoned it all up and fired it right up........And it’s got multiple exhaust leaks.

Damn.

I have done nothing with the brakes yet but I tossed it in low range and took it for a spin

This thing runs, drives, steers excellent. I could not be happier.......except for that exhaust leak

Ordered a header and a new Remflex. I should have done this already. This is the first time I’ve ever had a Remflex leak. I was pretty surprised. This truck will be getting a complete exhaust when it goes to its new home so getting rid of the crappy bent downpipe was going to happen anyway.

After a harrowing drive with no fluid in the brake system, I backed it in and bench bled the master (on the truck) and pressured the system and it looks like the brake lines and fittings are all leak free.

@USMC22 is coming up tomorrow to help me bleed and adjust these brakes out.

Then the real testing can begin.

Done. I hate asking for help......

Anyone reading this thread sitting on a decent front floor mat for a floor shift 74-78 FJ40?

Thats a piece of the puzzle I’m missing and I got outbid on a nice one on eBay

I'm sure you know Racer sells a replica...but it lacks the "TOYOTA" which kills it, for me.
