Afternoon was just a bit faster. I did not scratch my head too much on the dumb center tool. I had to add one on the bottom beyond my measurements to get the steering the right tightness.

Your suppose to scratch the SST not your head. 😝

Sweet (cream puff) rig!

That thing is dumb. If this was my personal truck I would not have used it. Unless you drive around with the hubs locked I just can’t see how .003 up or down will kill an axle seal.
Even the guy that did the YouTube video in the FAQ screwed it up.

Any updates on the doors?

Before you test out those new rotors and Toyos.

I had a '73 that lost the windscreen anchor on the dash for the windshield. I used a bikini top to hold it in place because the momentum of the windshield likely caused them to rip them out of the dash panel.

I got a goodie box from @Cruiser Corps yesterday. One of the items was a set of bumper supports. Way back at the beginning of this project I grabbed the side supports from a junk frame I had but there were no bumper supports. With plans for an 8274 we needed the extra support

One thing I was not comfortable sending this thing out with was the exhaust and intake gasket being untouched. I could not hear a leak but I suspected it had one the way I could see the crappy cracke

Sure enough, there was a little one as you can see from the soot

Now to clean it up and button it back up with one of my favorite Remflex gaskets

1/2 hour with a wire wheel and the exhaust manifold looks pretty good

Man, the parts pile is really small after all this vacation. I’ve got to go back to work tomorrow to get some rest.

Since Saturday the 23rd I’ve been able to put 52 hours of shop time into it. That’s pretty rare around here, but the cards have all fallen.

Sadly that’s over. It will likely be the weekend before I can get back on it. Maybe Thursday....will see how my schedule holds up this week.

Got the new City Racer booster mounted up with a new Advics master from Cruiser Outfitters.

I plumbed in a OEM replica proportion valve via City Racer and made a little bracket for it.

The upper thermostat housing was dripping so I replaced it with a new one from City Racer

Lastly I located a clutch return spring bracket and was able to remove this beauty the PO had installed

Nolan, be sure to either snag the old ones or get some new grease fittings for those tie rods, they will not last long without grease. Truck is coming along nicely! I like that you are taking care of the basics to make sure it is a good driver.

There is a note on Cruiser Outfitters about the 555 coming with no zerks.

But yes, that’s on the list.
