Supposedly they changed late 73 but I’ll pick some of them up and try. If not they can go on my 40 at some point. Thanks.

I think those arms (85190-60061) are for wiper posts that are threaded. If that’s what you have then you’re good to go. Otherwise you need a wiper arm that’s the clamp on type.

Your first pic of this rig looks like these would work, bolt-on arms.

Thanks for the tech sir. Yes. These thread as do my 68. The only difference looks like these have the slide on ends and my 68 has that little screw on the tip by the blade.

I appreciate the help.

The part number for the OEM with the small screw on the end is 85190-60061.

Got the exhaust put in this time with minimal scratches lol

The Remflex did its job and sealed this thing up. Folks, I swear by these. I’m not sure how that other one blew out but I’ve used 20+ of these. Never an issue.

This air cleaner housing is so damn cool. Love that the sticker is still on it

I made an order from TPI Bob and this little piece of jewelry was in it. @Onur always used to yell at me for not having an OEM radiator cap.

The new owner has a great exhaust guy that’s going to do a stainless setup when he gets the 40 home. In the mean time I want to have something that will send the exhaust out. Unfortunately the POS paper gasket this header comes with did not seal. Gotta pull that back out and put a Remflex in there too.

They make a huge difference. The 40/55 barely have enough caster stock
Add even the smallest amount of shackle length and you whack out a system barely adequate from the get-go.

I put an OME lift on my '76 (CS002F/R springs, GS8/9 shackles). Cruiser Outfitters told me I most likely wouldn't need shims, and I had a professional alignment done post install. Everything seems OK. What gives?

You are probably OK. -1 or 0. They come +1

I measured my pinion angle to send @FJ60Cam for a truck he is doing and it is +3*
so the 4* shims gave me a little more than stock.

I had @J Mack school me on caster when I was building The Warthog out. As you know I like to drive these things at highway speeds (plus) so adding a little more caster makes it handle even better.

The other 40 I have worked on with this lift (The Delta Beast) does not have them and in my opinion that truck is pretty squirrelly at speed. I personally love my 40 with no Lift for the most secure feel but for a Lifted truck, this truck drives so solid.

@orangefj45 sells steel shims which are critical if you do them. Also, make sure you have some longer grade 8 leaf spring pins on hand when/if you do it.

"Standard" old bug arms Lower is more typical
The upper arm puts more pressure on the windshield (may work better) and is from a Porsche 356 (rebadged bug) BTW, these are clamp on.

My wife is out of town so I was able to work on Weenie 3 until late.
The afternoon was very nice. Rain outside, warm and dry in the shop.

This truck already had a different style bikini top rail and I finally figured out this style came from TPI.

I had his Family style years ago and it’s the best, thickest one I’ve ever had.

Because I had recently added the @Cruiser Corps seat covers, I was able to oblige the new owner’s request for a set of seat heaters.

That’s right, seat heaters.

He is also 6’2” and wanted me to do the bracket flip modification to get him the most leg room I can with this setup.


So.......

You pull the drivers seat and flip rear brackets 180*

Next, mark the inner rail so you can drill a hole above the captured nut on the bracket. I used a step bit.

Next I add a bracket that can allow me to use the stock seat leg but move it back 2”. This angle was in the stash

This does not seem like a huge deal but it really makes a big difference.

I also will be “installing” a period correct cup holder.

These things are cheap but really effective and pretty straight forward on the install.

Luckily I have this pimp OEM console to mount the switches to and hide all the damn wires

Not many places to hide wires in a 40.

My Kyoto headlights and hubcaps came in at Brookhaven Toyota today so I ran down and grabbed them and had a burger with the boys

I smacked the caps on and clicked the seat heaters and went for a spin. Truck looks great.

These lights are beautiful and Toyota sends you an upgraded plug and play harness as well as a big pack of zip ties.

I bought a set for all the Cruisers!

Instead of jumping in and hooking up the lights (easy 1 banana job) I installed some new wiring upgrades knowing at least one more 12v wire is coming and a winch.

New Marine terminal and fastronix panel for a clean place to install constant 12v as needed.

Finally I tested a bunch of upgrade bulbs and ended up putting the stock Phillips lights that came in the Kyoto housing back in.

After I saw this pic I had to go look and see what you did for a Coil. Any specific reason you went HEI? I didn't see any comment about it (but I may have missed it).
