I just cleaned Cruiser Corps out of OEM oil filters, I know they've been NLA for a little while now but any good guess on how many are still around at private vendors? And there's probably a million of them in the rest of the world right?

Looking under the hood of my Dad's Tacoma, was greeted by a nice surprise. 90915-YZZD3.

I don't think we have to worry about this one for a while if you're like me and HAVE to have a black Toyota filter.

-YZZD3 is generic super session for the -20004 and -41010 filters.

They fit pretty much all spin-on 6/8 cylinder application.

They will be around for eons.

The -YZZD3 is the current North American substitute for those filters.

Made in Thailand and the only thing you can get from Toyota suppliers here.

Basically the "economies of scale" version of the originals.

No. You need 15601-68010

Here ya go.. the difference in size of the two.. Had to dig into my stock.... As O says, the YZZD3 is label Thailand and the 41010 is JAPAN.

I sent my wife to the local yota dealer to pick up a few 2F filters and she returned with the YZZD3... I LAUGHED MY ASS OFFF.... ITS A LAWNMOWER engine filter.... HA!! I figure Mr. Yota has done the due diligence on the filtration of the SMALLER filter and I trust his new design... Not all things need to be BIG TO BE GOOD.

I plan on seeing if @cruiserdan can/will bring me a few oldies when he comes up...
