How about some work stuff? I get to do another engine cover so I'm all excited. I really enjoy custom sheet metal.

Still need to do the right side, but I'm liking the way it looks.

Because I'm autistic af

I got @sogncab and I one of these.

And then started on this....

New front bumper to break in the new brake.

Very unfinished and needs corners, mounts, and light holes, but this is currently in four pieces with a lot of bends. All should be doable on my finger brake (I think)

I'm hoping to make this easy enough to put together to get it lasered out and maybe sell a few to help offset the cost of all the machines I've been collecting.

But man do you have skills !!
That cover looks Bad A** !!

Thanks. I'm hoping the design is going to match this 40. It's pretty wild, full custom frame, linked front and rear, tons, and about 700 crank with an LT1.

The mini truss was bugging me looks wise, so I had to fix it.

Made some extra little wings. I think it looks better.

Welded up.

Link time.

I'm building at full stuff-ish. Max bump will probably be around here, max articulation will probably be close to touching.

Got the lowers in today, had to make some new more angled axle side brackets. Oh well.

Had some weld washers lying around so I used them, why not, I guess.

Need to trim the uppers, they ended up about an inch long.

New truss looks way better in my opinion.

Anyways, i'll get the uppers finished tomorrow.

Disregard. I remember when you did this. I can’t believe this was done 2 years ago. I need to kick it into high gear.

Proceed to the next round.

In elementary school, did you practice balancing with nothing touching the desk in front of or behind you? 🤣

Might explain my affinity for the wheelies.....

I like balancing chairs and desks lmao. Got ok at wheelies tho

I’m way behind on this one. When did you get rear coilovers, DJ?! What’s next? Stretch the tub?

Next one is going to be more tube and more strech lol. This one is too close to being "finished" to cut it apart and do it again, even though I really have the urge to do it. Need something to drive while I build the next one.

I would be interested in a DIY kit of the rear bumper you just built..... or I'd even pay you for the .DXF's as I have a plasma and a brake, but limited time to play design engineer anymore. I am partial to the 4+ units up front as the 3d fronts just look too Jeepy for my vision, but that rear one you designed/made is perfection!

I can get that modeled fully and do that if you want. I'm trying to make the front match the rear, so I'll have to see. I always thought of jeep bumpers being narrow and all stubby, but that's just me lol.

Got some more work done on the front bumper. Need to work out mounting, but I'm happy with it so far.

A quick little update to the engine cover.

I got it finished and fully mounted. Super happy with the way it came out and the customer likes it, so that's good.

This weekend I found this deal which I was excited about.

Shop near me was closing and I picked up their wire rack for $200. It's all 20-12G wire and had a bunch of heat shrink with it as well.

Enough wire to fill up a 55 gallon trash can. All the colors and multi colors you can think of.
