I'm assuming its a semi-float axle?
If not a sch40 10" or 12" pipe cap works wonderful on the full float axle housings. I can't remember the size (10 or 12), but I used one on the front of one of my 40's a number of years ago. 3/8" thick and...
When we started driving for the first few hours there was no wind. And we were able to cruise along at 62-65 mph. But, it felt a lot like driving a cigar down the road...
From here we landed in CO and the weather was way more favorable. Great...
I did hundreds of brake jobs back when I was turning wrenches for a living and they were still making FJ40s. We never had a problem bleeding brakes except when the master cylinder was bad and then we replaced it and never bench bled it and never...
If the website/domain could be purchased for a realistic price given the destroyed reputation I for one would consider buying it and supporting all the products as a direct manufacturer to user business. Keep the products available and rebuild...
This is definitely shop error. These engines don't just snap cam shafts for no reason. I can almost guarantee the shop didn't properly torque the cam shafts when they worked on the engine. 230k miles is NOT high mileage for this engine.
Awesome thanks! Very easy.

Good deal. Do you need an 80 rolling chassis? I have one in Oklahoma City but I’m going to Gatlinburg, TN in a week…I could always throw it on a trailer and bring it to you haha
I have read a lot of your older threads but just finished going through this one. You have some mad skills there. The wizard ain't no slouch either. Looks to me like you are doing a damn good job of living the dream. And now I know what to do...
Love the white 40's. This owner will have a gem when you're done.
Is that blue TEQ FJ40 flag/poster that can be seen on the back wall through the door commercially available anywhere? Would love to frame one of those up for the office.
Still a few items to do including muffler, exhaust, bug catcher weather stripping install. But just finished bed, tailgate, headache rack install. Looks like a 45 finally.
Looks like an original due to the outside lip. All of the repops that I have seen don’t have that lip or the letters aren’t exactly correct.
I saw that 45 for sale and I’m stoked someone here ended up with it!
