why not cut it just under the line of the cargo glass, it would be easyer to paint the inside ?

What was the final decision on the busted pinion? I don't think you really were doing hole shots and the pinion sure can't be the weak link. Any thing you're doing different with the new setup, to avoid repeating?
Well after a day of sandblasting it looks like I have a solid ham, I’ll have some minor rust and improper dent repair to take care of but all and all I think this should go fast.

I’ll remove my entire quarter from the roof to floor as the inner structure was also damaged and I'll replace it with this one, the plan as of now is to drill spot welds and put it back on the same way Toyota originally did as long as my box of spot weld cutters holds out.
Dare I ask where this one came from?
I don't know what that means, but I'm feeling it's not good.
