Well I wish I could call it skill but I’m a novice tubing bender on my best day. I like to think of myself as more of a “BS” plumber, I claim that it turned out exactly as I planned when in reality I used 15’ of tubing to make 10’ of brake lines and was flying by the seat of my pants the entire time. In fact I just ordered another 20’ of tubing because I’m not sure how much I’ll burn up trying to run the next 10’ and I only had 35’ sitting here.
I did however make some cool bulkheads that should help running the rest of the lines, when I started running the first lines I was shooting for imaginary spots and just got them close and adjusted after I got the bulkhead and that turned into a train wreck so I’ll mount the bulkheads first and have hard targets to hit and I’m hoping this will help me keep the lines straighter.

Well my pig is akin to Johnny Cash’s Cadillac, my front end is comprised of 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 and 76 pig parts, that part was from a 76 and it had the goofy slots that seem to serve no purpose other than to confound me so I machined some aluminum spacers to fill them
Man, I like cool brackets! What type of tubing bender did you use on the SS? I use one of the hand held ones on the soft tube.

I have many but I use the Swagelok MS-HTB-4T bender the most, it’s made for ¼” tube but I use it on 3/16” also and it works well for both.
The window washer line is 3/16” and the brake lines are ¼” both bent with the
Swagelok bender.

I designed the bulkhead mounts and had my laser guy cut them out for me, the bulkhead fittings are Parker.

Where did you get the windshield wash reservoir?
If I were assured top notch bends like those, I'd pop for that bender. Thinking skill comes into play!

I stole it from one of the other Pigs I bought, I found them new for sale for like $20.00 but I can’t remember off the top of my head where.

I use ASTM A269 B90 seamless, bright annealed 316 stainless steel tube and never had it crack with a single or double flare. I use a BrakeQuip flaring style tool sold by Eastwood and the only tube that I’ve had crack was some 3/8” steel tube I bought at Auto Zone, it was the green coated stuff they sell at all the auto parts stores and for whatever reason I was not able to flare it.

Just a heads up, I tried to order another Sears DieHard Platinum battery "ODYSSEY battery" today and was told Sears is discontinuing these. I had to get one shipped to my local store from out of state.
What's the story with these batteries (as in why use them)? Is it a fitment thing?
I know they have a good reputation of being one of the best out there, not about fitment, unless you're like me and bought a SS tray to fit two Optima batteries. I thought somebody else made that battery and Sears rebranded it?

The Optima VS Odyssey battery argument is as old as the Ford VS Chevy and I’m not going to add to it here, the glass mat Odyssey battery has deep cycle storage and conventional battery cranking amps in a small package.

Continuing my pig dance of one step forward and two back, after relocating my shackles and going to longer ones I gained enough extra suspension travel I needed to move my shock mounts, unfortunately I neglected to check this until after I bolted the inner fenders on and was ready to finish hooking the last of the wiring up.
I had to cut the tops of the Ford towers off and make new tops 2” longer from some 2”X4”X1/4” box tubing, this was less than ideal but it was better than undoing everything I’ve accomplished in the last three weeks.

Random photo update,
I’m using a Lokar hood & trunk release and needed to add the adjuster to my hood latch.
Driver’s side inner fender is done, now I need to finish the passenger’s side and I should be able to start and run this thing again.
