Juneau, Alaska. We're lucky to see a day or two reach 80 all year!
gotcha....showed as Houston when I clicked your coordinates, but didnt notice that it asked me to make sure I was spelling your street correctly. I am near Houston and deleted my heater under my seat when I upgraded the carpet. We dont get very cold here...always shorts weather here, we just sometimes need a jacket with our shorts.

Drool 🤤... beautiful! How many miles on the conversion and what are you averaging on fuel mileage.

Only a couple of thousand, it's been down in AZ with @kelly saad getting a new paint job. It's just needing clear coat/re-assembly and shipping back so hope we'll see her soon.

Don't have a firm long-term handle on highway mpg, but have been seeing about 18-20 mixed driving, which really isn't bad.

Here we go. Hope you'll forgive the big changes. Too complicated and costly to ship a replacement H2. Diesels also a pain when she has dual tanks and we have winter and summer fuel for the vast temperature differentials. It'll be getting a polish and paint very soon under here

Big story. Bought this HJ60 as a "tractor" to service a country cottage project. Previous (1st) owner and importer had cooked the H2 and fitted a Nissan 6cyl 2.5L onto the original manual box.
Useless on the road and on any kind of challenge....
Initial thoughts were to return to standard with a H2 from an early Coaster bus. Volubly persuaded out of this by the selller amongst others and went V8 - petrol / gas is c25p 28c a litre here.
Engine management is remapped for use in a Cruiser - standard reset as it was utilised in later models. Engine is mated to a automatic gearbox from a Crown and transfer box Prada 78. Props are original but fron and rear diffs changed to the higher ratio FJ parts.
This is very much a work in progress

I like those battery terminals....what are they called? My posts have too much on them, that cleans it up nice
The attachment to the battery terminal is a MILITARY STYLE TERMINAL LUG found just about anywhere on-line. Just attach the appropriate length SS BOLT/ACORN NUT from your favorite hdware store and separate your cable lugs with common drill bit depth stops. RESULT...a very simple, clean & effective application. Especially useful for heavy duty ancillary applications.
