Headliner result much better today. I'll be happy with it. Installed door interior weatherstripping. Yeah!

I don't plan to keep the stock heater so for now I'll clean up the dash.

Resto air or Vintage air?

Where did you source the door weatherstripping?
Yes, Slocruisers.

Looks great! What seats are you using? They look like a good fit.
Just some I picked up local on Craigslist. They were brand new out of a 2013-2017 Chevrolet Impala. You might see earlier in my build, I had black leather seats mounted but they ended up too wide once I started fiddling with seat belts and door panels.

Glued up the headliner yesterday and then proceeded to do it over today. My perfectionistic tendencies kicked in and I wanted to see if I could get more wrinkles out. I just wasn't tight enough. I'm not sure if the second efforts will make it better but it only involved my time and a little contact cement.

First time around I used 3M Headliner adhesive 38808 and after sitting over night it wasn't as tight as yesterday. This time I brushed on Weldwood Original contact cement and it seemed to have better adhesion. I did about half and I'll finish up tomorrow. I didn't have enough clamps. I have foam strips stuck behind the board to help press and form things into place.

Boy am I glad I don't do headliners for a living.

Did you use steam?

I wasn't in the mood. So I just started it to roll it out of the garage and said, what the heck all my lights work so let's go for a ride.

I ended up putting 4 miles on the new odometer, got the engine up to temp, and had some fun. I just wished these stay-at-home orders were done so my buddy can help me put a windshield in.

That little ride put me in the mood to do a little work. I installed my tailgate weatherstripping. I was going to install the window but it has two layers of tint baked on it from years in the Texas sun. It's going to take effort. Nothing is ever just easy.

Door panel day. I got three doors done and ran out of clips.

Did one cargo panel. I remember reading early threads about some of the first versions of the panel not matching the hole pattern. I fought and fought and decided to jus leave a few clips out. No one will ever know.

Yes that's a blood stain on the floor. Those clips can be sharp.

Yeah but I couldn't get them to help drop in the windshield. They used all sorts of excused about petite, short, weak, etc.

Thankful for the help nonetheless.
