You really wish the guy that did the install would have de-burred all of his cuts...

You would think, but he had 15 of them to do and he knew he wasn’t going to get a callback 2-3 years down the road. Nobody was going to see it from the outside, either.

if I ever actually have to work on that unit I’m going to find a scissor lift.

Still putting stuff away from this construction project so I have not been keeping up on what my very cool internet friends have going on. Wow! You guys have some very exciting backgrounds and histories.

We do not fly well. Have done a bunch of it as a kid (prop jets) and bigger until I was about 40? After my visit to Kill Devil Hills years ago it shifted my perspective. THOSE guys were driven….and a little too crazy…Events like John Denver, Ricky Nelson, Lynard Skynryd, Reba McIntyre….im sure you see where this would be headed, I just like being on the ground. Had 3 different flights that were truly big contributors to my fears. My farm girl wife took her first plane trip in the 1970’s to visit her parents and the engine caught fire in a 10 seater plane and landed in a corn field in New Hampshire…we see it as the universe saying “ HEY…WAKE UP .. WE OF THE UNIVERSE DON’T WANT YOU GUYS IN AN AIRPLANE!”

My Army captain and pilot dad always said..”time to spare, go by air”. Lately, this could not be more spot on. Tv news reports that over 6000 delays and 1000 cancellations this morning alone.

@greenbeast that is a great opportunity if you’re into it. Can you see it 10 years from now? In my thinking, by then I would want to wind down and enjoy the fruits of this endeavor. But that’s me. You clearly have the devotion and support of your staff and family. This is one of the best “cream rising to the top” stories I have heard in a long time.

There is a good sized local airport nearby at Teterboro, NJ. Mostly private jets..corporate and celebrity. John Travolta, Lady Gaga. Elon Musk and Jay-Z, are some lately. If you ever find yourself there…you know…I’ll have the green FJ40 and a set of semaphore flags

just turned 50 (punk!) so we are having a few friends over this weekend, still not fully recovered from the flooded basement but far enough we could get the pool table home, so thankful that they accommodated us and set it back up today.

Apparently it is, was her dad’s table and when the billiards co had it apart I asked about new felt…he proceeded to tell me our table was custom built back in the 70s and all the pockets are smaller than a normal pool table, I had no idea.

We are not avid players so I didn’t realize , but now I know why I have such a hard time getting the balls down

We ended up with about 22 friends over, many we not seen since before the ‘vid dropped, so was an excellent night. Last couple left about 2:30 AM so between that late hour and the evening of drinking today wasn’t very productive
