As promised a few pictures. Aspens peaked a couple weeks ago, but still beautiful country. Wife’s doing better than in a long time. As great as this trip has been, heading back home on Wednesday. Bobm and remi, will be thinking of your Kansas trip as I drive back across.

Doubt you will be up my way but by any small chance your in NW Colorado tomorrow I will buy y'all lunch. Snows coming tomorrow afternoon. Calling for up to 8 inches in the mountains the next 3 days.

Nothing more soothing then the sound of a flowing small creek in the mountains especially with the wind in the aspens. Now I get to hear the air blowing in my face with the CPAP, gotta love aging!

Or, if you buy all the parts for your projects, you could probably ditch the cpap and sleep outside in the wind under an aspen next to a stream and your cruisers.
That's a good theory but you cant buy all the parts for anything right now.

Heck, If I bought all the parts needed for my projects I would be sleeping outside, that's one thing that is for sure!

Thanks for the offer, but just staying around Salida/BV this trip. Went to Cottonwood Hot Springs while it was snowing this morning. Fun to experience water in all three stages ( solid, liquid, gas) in just one soak.

Man I need to stay out of the 200 section. This thread caught my eye and it was all I could do to not reply. Just tighten the damn things with a 1/2 drive ratchet or pull wrench and call it good. They act like these are head bolts. I feel better now. 😂

Good little boys and girls know there is a proper way to do everything. Take for instance coffee: everyone knows you must drink your latte poured, not mixed, in the presence of lots of supportive liberally-minded friends, listening to that ancient 70s and 80s music, …. Blah, blah, blah, …. Not a huge fan of coffee shop boys.

I dunno, boys these days with lots of heart and absolutely no experience.

I guess I feel better too. I apologize for the rant. Just reading this morning on another topic altogether (politics) where the same kinda thing is going on.

I feel like if you’re asking about the torque of your “tow hook” bolts you are most likely bored sitting in your mom van in the Dutch Bro’s line waiting for your rainbow latte and felt the need to post something on a 4x4 forum that sounds off roady.

Yeah probably a good idea to stay out of the 200 section.

Well I listen to 70’s and maybe some 80’s and some 60‘s for that matter…..don’t hang out in coffee shops though.

Yeah, and so do I. But, the difference is that we’re not afraid of diving in, getting dirty, making a few mistakes, learning, and moving forward. Hard to do any of that when the majority of your time is spent in therapy sessions seated at coffee shops.

My grandfather was a Texan. I worked with him every summer on farm equipment in southern NM. I caught a lot of his temperament. He enjoyed hard work and the rest following the labor. Boy I’d hate to see what he’d say to this coffee shop generation!

I think the correct spec is to tighten till it comes loose.

I don't get a coffee shop boy vibe from that group. Maybe my definition is different. They seem like they would be JK/JL guys but they wanted something a little more "pinkies out."

Coffee shop?? I feel out of place getting coffee at Kum and go and complain inside when its over a dollar fifty for a cup. The best "coffee" comes from a small mom and pop gas station which are impossible to find anymore. In Oklahoma we have a donut shop where the old timers sit and have a cup. You can learn a ton there! Got to agree with @WarDamnEagle, I cant get past my southern rock from the 70's and 80's. That and some red dirt country music keep me rolling.

From the few times I have ever stepped in one of the hipster coffee shops with daughter I didn't see a lot of conversation going on, nothing but playing on computers. That and the skinny jean wearing guys eyeballing my redneck cowboy boot wearing self wondering WTF I was doing there. The times they are a changing!!!!

I had a cup of cappuccino once. Camping in Rocky Mountain National park when I was in college on fall break. Took a buddy whose father died when he was young, never had left state of Okla. Fella by name of James Austin was only other guy camping at tree line above Lawn lake. He had little Cappuccino maker which made 1 small cup at a time. Cold dark night and have to admit it was pretty good. James turned out to be one of the developers of the Hubble telescope, super humble guy. 30 years later never had another, just don't want to ruin the experience.

Not sure where I was going with that....except I truly don't know wtf a latte even is. I'm not even sure I know what's in a Cappuccino and prefer to keep it that way.
