It was red/white when we first saw it at the North Rim. Are you uncovering a repaint?
Nice work.

I thought you were going to say "There's always time to do it right the second time!"Perfect!! My Dad always said, if they look that close, they're going to steal it.
He put on tunes first! What did you do different this time?
Nice!Pictures did no justice. It was cringy AF.
There’s no comparison now. So relieved!
All the small things...My new pet peeve is pouring unused paint in the trash can, only to later realize I could have used it to paint these other little pieces that just needed a little prep work and paint.

Always cool when you start putting stuff on instead of taking stuff off!Onto the downhill run! Putting stuff in for the last time hopefully..
Except man, that red likes to bleed into white...Maybe sprayed all red then the white after cause its less area???![]()
Looking really good!!Broke the pressure pot back out to spray a coat of 2K plus the ceramic paint insulating additive. Both of these are @jmack ideas, so giving credit where it’s due - thanks Jim!
A couple notes on this particular pot - I think the regulator leaves more to be desired and it would be interesting to compare it to say, a Binks or Sharpe pot/regulator. I cranked the regulator down to zero and slowly came up to get a flow rate I could work with. Well nothing happens until the pot hits about 15 psi and then it’s flowing a little too much, so couldn’t really get a happy medium. It still worked good and did the job I wanted to do, just had to move faster and pull the gun away from the surface quite a ways.
I’m treating this coat like spray filler, so unlikely I’ll be able to spay paint today. Lots of stuff getting ready to happen, and fall is swinging in, so not sure when I’ll have another chance for paint work.

One of these days the two of us will ride againDang dude, really coming along.
Make any paint heat insulating? I like the sound of that and had no idea it was a thing.
Meanwhile I just sit in the forest waiting for turkey to walk in front of me, but at least I can keep up with your progress while I wait.
