I have an '85 FJ60 with a 2F and im just wondering if an 2.7 or 3.5 ecoboost swap is even possible. The dimensions say it will fit, but im not sure, with a 6 or 10 speed behind it. If not, any other non-v8 options that are unique?

All of those engines are cool but you have to keep in mind the weight factor. I don't think a power stroke or a dura max would go nicely due to their weight. The eco boost might be a good fit.I do not understand how or why this would not be possible. Anything a f150 can do a fj60/can do better. If people fit coyote engines in fj60 why could a 3.5 not fit?
If you want something unique try a twin turbo 4.2 i6 vortec or a 3.0 i6 duramax. Or a 4.5l power stroke. 8.1 vortec would be cool too.
But complete low mile take outs including transmission and computers for a 3.5 echo boost are around $5000 so it would probably be the cheapest swap.

All great engines, why don't we ever see them in the conversions? I think a power stroke 60 would be sweet, or even a dura max? I always figured they would be to heavy.2f engine is about 600-800lbs
4.5l power stroke v6 835lbs dry.
3.0l duramax should weight about the same as a 6de1 dmax v6 which if a sabb 9 can handle its weight I would think a fj60 could.
OEM heavy up front Chevy springs in back all is good.
cracking up laughing at that!!yes, they bolt right in
Alright, i have a question .... who gives a f*** about mileage when we drive around in these old bricks?
