Interesting there hasn't been much discussion about this. when I did a search, most block off discussions are related to the 2f which, seem to have less of an issue w fitment. No, that would not go well. Your manifold ports would not align with the head ports. Those manifolds are mated at the factory, no two sets are exactly the same.
I might shave off a bit from the mating surfaces where the manifolds bolt together, just enough to match the thickness of your new block off plate and gasket.
Can you cut a round piece of steel that fits inside the exhaust manifold? An internal heat shield?
No, this will be used for a stock setup....The difference in height is about 3mm or just shy of 1/8"Need more pics, is that plate for when you use a headed
Sadness...2 gaskets and a block off plate results in this. Is the best work around to shave a bit off the intake or Dremel out the ears to make a fit?

Not a bad idea. Perhaps just cut down the full blockplate to fit inside the space that is in the bottom of the intake. No, that would not go well. Your manifold ports would not align with the head ports. Those manifolds are mated at the factory, no two sets are exactly the same.

I like the sound of that, trim to fit inside gasketNot a bad idea. Perhaps just cut down the full blockplate to fit inside the space that is in the bottom of the intake.

My understanding is that the flap closes when hot, to keep hot exhaust off the bottom of the intake. Why again are you doing this? That flap should be open when hot, What’s the problem
