Not really.....40 pins work great. Don't overthink it.
I just did mine a couple of months ago. I bought my 40 pins off of ebay for $10 or so for each kit; required two kits.

It appears that the kit @Half Wacked aka Split Pea is for the same applications that the Dorman 38397 is for (late 80’s to late 90’s Nissan Pathfinders and pickups).
I bought these on Amazon, but the bushings are a little bigger on the top of the bushing. I have not tried theses yet, But think they should work just have to file a little bit I hope. Pic of the difference in the bushings ,
