A 100 deg F change in temperature will change the diameter of a 3/4 inch O.D. copper alloy tube by about 0.0015". Work fast.Not sure how much you gain with copper putting in the freezer. Used in HVACR coils because of it heat transfer properties. Even with Arizona's low desert humidity items pulled out of the freezer with have humidity condense and freeze quickly. Copper may warm up too quickly to have humidity freeze. But the little bit gained is not worth it if any moisture collects on the outside of the copper.

There things like water becoming that increase when its freezes.
