Just in case someone needs some reference pictures. Not sure all of this is completely factory - if anyone has any better info please advise.
Started out with a halfway decent wheel which had cracks in all the usual places. Those were filled with epoxy putty, sanded, primed and then painted with satin black. By no means as nice as some of the restorations others have posted here. If anyone was to look closely, some of the cracks ghost through the paint and some of the paint isn't as smooth as it could be. I probably could easily spend a month getting it perfect.
The horn contacts were taped and then cleaned

Wires to the contact ring (It doesn't look like it but I did spend some time cleaning/ polishing the contact ring. It is fairly scored and I didn't want to take it down that far to make it smooth) - a small troth provides clearance on the top side for the wires to run under the pad and horn covers

How the center pad mounts: two locating pins and then 3x screws that come in from the back side which also hold/ located the horn covers. the only information I could find on the screws was that they were 3mm, 40mm length. The longest I could find locally at Ace were 3mm by 30mm length - fortunately, they seemed to be the perfect length and $.46 each. It's on the wheel only for demonstration purposes - can't mount the wheel on the column with it on
