HOLY wow! That is a BEAST! Awesome job Jim!!! @landcrusher909 check it out! I talked to Rob today and told him about that beauty your getting ready for CO.

Good job Jimmy. There is something very satisfying in knowing all that work was worth it. To many people now days don't appreciate what it takes to get there.

Did quiet crap in the doors. Pretty pleased with it. Thanks to Cim and Roma (& a few others) for their feedback on this s today. Truck is running pretty good. Appreciate the compliments. The motor seems to be running well. Mcguire informed me the idle may be a bit low (650). Seems to buck a bit when luggingbin 1st or 2nd

Yeah yeah yeah! Awesome progress!

Sounds awesome! Jim any reason you don't want to do 3" exhaust? Plenty of room on the 60 for it. I made mine myself out of aluminized pipe and it was super easy.
In talking with the exhaust guy he did not feel it had any performance advantage. He came out to the shop and looked it over. Based on the HP and the fact the exhaust port on the turbo is 2.5", I agreed with what he recommended. Plus it's a bit cheaper. Let me know if I'm making a mistake. Can always see if he can order in the 3" stuff. Unfortunately I don't have the time to learn how to do this myself.

I ordered a 3" dump pipe for mine primarily so I could use a common 3bolt flange and gasket. That's why I went 3". The Toyota flange on that dump is hard to source unless you have one already, I didn't. I simply ordered some mandrel 90s and 45s and flanges and section of flex from one vendor on eBay and went got a stick from the local muffler shop. The stick would be expensive to ship. I had about $80 in the whole thing. No bending just welding the pieces together.

And should note that I'm dropping it off Monday morning to get a 2.5" stainless exhaust put on. Looking forward to seeing how it sounds. No muffler...just a straight pipe.
I don't think it really matters but I believe federal/public lands require at minimum a spark arrestor. Its what I put on my 80.

Nicely done Jim, Sounds like a tank! I love it. Are you abiding by any kind of break in procedure??? Curious if you need to take it easy for the first 1000 miles or so...not that your video was too wild, just a thought since this is a zero mile engine

You are correct Cody. I'm trying to stay very light on the throttle. Would like to get it inspected etc. so I can get at least 500 miles on it prior to the CO trip. Not sure that's going nan happen. I'll be lucky to have it at a stable point where I'm comfortable taking it
