Quick dry run mating things up. We're gonna grab some dinner and then lay it in there and tack up the motor mounts. Will blow it apart and burn them in and hopefully stab it for the last time

All welded up. Will touch up the paint in the AM and then hopefully drop this motor in for the last time. We lined everything up starting with the trans cross member. The frame mounts fell right into place. Dam 12HT sits really close to the firewall. MJ assured me it's the same with his setup.

Thank Roma. We weee lucky to find this one a while back. Fortunately Beno has been able to source the upper metal cooling lines so I'll be able to use the aluminum cross over pipes. Will make this change when the parts make it over the ocean.

Roma, does yours have this bracket (in the red box)? Maybe yours is upside down in the pic and I'm not seeing it. This is what I need as the coaster bus one does not have it.

yes it does its just upside down in the other two pics. here is a photo of the first one I installed. I have a lot of photos in my 60 fix up thread if you need to see any more. What did you have the pan off for on yours?

One last question Roma, do you happen to have an extra bracket for the end of the AC bracket? It's the one in the pic. MJ thinks we have it and I have a few more totes/boxes to comb through, but I'm doubtful. I can rob it from my other 12HT, but eventually have to replace it. Thanks, Jim

What did you have the pan off for on yours?we took it off to do the rear main and reseal the pan. Also did the front seal. The ones on there were original and did not want to risk any issues once installed. Also, was really curious to see how the internals looked as this motor was claimed as never run in a vehicle. We pretty much confirmed that by the way things looked in there.

probably the last update for today. She's all bolted up. Hopefully for the last time assuming I did not screw up the clutch fork or anything like that.

McGuire has my harness out integrating the appropriate wires from the 61 harness. Off to Roundup tomorrow. Should be a good weekend.

Man I like be seeing that harness. I'd literally LOVE to pull myself be in it's entirety just to see it and make it whole again w/o all the crap POs have added!

Man I just can't get over how awesome that engine looks. The valve cover and charge pipe are different from any other 12ht I've seen. None of my 4 valve covers have the "Toyota" embossed on them and the turbo lettering on that charge pipe is cool. I'm guessing it faces rearward because of the orientation the engine would be in when installed in a bus.

Was about to say something similar... Such a sexy sound hearing it fire up like that, idle and that turbo purr/whine just a little bit... Thank god I have a large desk to hide this chubb....LOL
