@crikeymike followed your advice and got the rears installed yesterday. Very straight forward and hand-compressable with a little effort. Now rolling on 4 brand new Dobinsons IMS shocks. Wow, what an upgrade.
Here's mine. There is an ARB bumper for it. Your nearest cousin for parts is the Tundra, but in many ways, it is a big 4Runner. Less like a landcruiser.
I remember people asking way back in the day when I worked at ARB this same thing. I think the grille/headlights were different from Tundra to Sequoia, but I don't recall exactly.
ARB staff only goes by the app guides these days and don't care...
They're easier on the eye bottom, stud top shock types, as you slide the lower mount on, then let it decompress/expand upwards into the hole with the washers and bushing already in place.
I did them manually. I put the top on first and compressed as hard as I could with both hands pushing with all my force and muscle up, then as it was expanding quickly put it on the bottom connection. It wasn't easy but these shocks actually...
Bump from me.
I ordered the Dobinsons IMS shocks from @crikeymike
VERY fast shipping and great service. Thank you.
So far, just had time to get the fronts installed. Someone above noted that it's practically impossible to compress them...
Dobinson's IMS - heavy front and back. Extremely happy with the ride - I was coming from an IFS 4runner with ICON coilovers so I was pretty spoiled - honestly the LC handles the weight better off-road and the ride is very controllable and...
Update: 1 year in and 3k mikes or so. Love the set up. Settled less that 1/4” even with sliders and front bumper/8274. Their entry level shock (yellow) is just ok. Eventually, will replace with stiffer option.
Hi,
Most of you don't know me but I've been on mud for a while. Just bought a 2023 Solar Octane TRD PRO Tundra and since it's the wife's daily driver and she's insisted it stay shiny side up for now, only minor modifications are in store. Need...
Guys, ignore your wife and spend some money!! The Long Range Automotive tanks from Australia are at Black Friday prices again, 15% off until the end of the month!! Get in on this deal while you can!! It's a minimum of $320 off right now...
Hey Guys,
We are currently running a pretty considerable discount on all in stock Dobinsons Rear Bumpers with Tire and Jerry Can Carriers. We've noticed a considerable "gulp" when people see the shipping cost during checkout, so we're going to...
Greetings folks! Nice to find you all on this great little corner of the interwebs :)
I'm in Ontario Canada, just bought a 2010 Sequoia Limited. After searching all over the USA and Canada (autotempest is a great tool if anyone's not aware) I...
You can use the Sequoia 1.75" coils to achieve that same lift on a Tundra.

There aren't any plans to make any other coils for it otherwise
When I think Dobinsons I usually check ExitOffRoad 1st. Not sure what year you have but they show a 2012+ version for $1575

There are at least two on this thread who went with Dobinson bumpers. Are you still happy with the decision? I need full animal protection and am thinking of going with the Dobinson.
