Father was original owner, body redone 5 years ago, drives smooth and straight, far less then typical rust for West Coast Cruiser, clean and immaculate interior, passed AirCare (BC emmissions thing) with flying colours, mechanically very reliable, starts excellent, all electrical works, new tail gate
CONS:
couple rust holes in wheel weels, classic Cruiser sag (leaf springs replaced with used ones over the years as needed), engine runs on sometimes, rear passenger side wheel stuck (been sitting in parkade for six months), recently broken into (stereo gone - my "like new" dash has a cut in it), couple gauges act funny

The truck is a 1982 FJ60. It is in OK shape for its age, Has the typical Old wagon rust on the rear wheel wells and a small amount on the drivers side rocker panel. The Frame is in Decent Shape and is solid. The Color of the Truck is a Very Faded Red from a previous low cost repaint. The Tail Gate has been replaced with a White Gate that functions well. The Interior of the Truck is Functional and well broken in. Has a very nice pioneer Cod/radio in it and newer speakers. The only Portion of the interior/exterior that is of major concern is...

I have a great running '88 FJ62 that need a good home.
Cold A/C, Cruise Controll, no lockers. Its stock and everything works but the parking brake.
It need a tail pipe and muffler. It is mufflerless and doesn't sound to bad or loud.
The interior is like new execpt for the driver seat.
The odmeter shows 105,500 mi.
The tires are small and should be recycled but they roll.
It cruises down the hwy at 75mph with plenty of power to go faster if you live in a state that lets you go faster ;)
Now for the rust. It not good and not bad. You could fix it. The rust is around the doors, fenders and rockers.
Everything above the wheel wells looks good.

Driving home today i saw a 88-90 FJ62 in a parking lot with a for sale sign. Went to go look at it as I'm looking for one myself. The color is champagne and from a short lookover the exterior was in very good condition- no rust at all(anywhere), paint was fine; interior was very clean, no cracked dash but it did have the common tear in the drivers seat. Also it had only 143,000 miles. Stock. Very tempting for me but the price is just way out of my range. =(

I’m a cop in Jax, Fl, and met a lady in FJ60 selling bulldog puppies on my beat. She said that she wanted to sell her truck, so I told her I would put a note in here for her. This is all I know and I have no pictures. Stock royal blue, looks original with some disco graphics on side. Manufactured 9-85, Interior looked decent, covers on front seats, 184k, ice cold air, good dash, (removed) factory roof rack , dent on rear bumper, light rust behind each mud flap (rust on surface and not rusted through). She said it’s a DD for a housewife and gas is killing her. She put in a local paper for $4500 and got no bites. PM me an i can give contact info.

I am selling a 1989 FJ62 -- very nice! I have additional pictures if you want them e-mailed to you. The vehicle has 162,500 miles on it. It is garaged and maintained and in mint condition. No rust!! Regular maintenance. Tranny serviced! Differential fluids changed. K&N air filter. I have owned this beauty since 2000 and have put 53,000 miles on it in those 5 years. 5100 miles were driving from Alaska to Florida. The Toyo is red with grey interior. Everything original! I have recently new 235 BFG's on it. I hate to get rid of her but I have one too many vehicles and this is the one that I have to part with. I have made the difficult decision to sell my FJ60. This truck is in excellent condition mechanically and body-wise. It is very solid to drive and I would take it anywhere. I have rebuilt nearly everything on the truck... it is ready to go.
Desmogged 2F, H55F non-US 5spd, 4.11 gears, ARBs front and rear, 33" BFG ATs (with room for 35s), OME heavy lift, 9500 lbs Warn, snorkle, 48 gallon fuel tank, headers, Jim C carb, custom bumpers, rear tire carrier, rock sliders, roof rack, fog lights, tinted windows, class III hitch, electric trailer brakes.... and the list goes on.
The body has a few very minor dings and 1 pea size rust spot. Otherwised it is excellent. Original desert tan paint w/ factory pinstriping.

I am looking for a fairly nice FJ60. I don't care about the front or rear bumpers. Preferably no rust. No dents on the body. Not real concerned about the paint. Good interior. With no mechanical problems. Don’t care about mileage. Preferably stock or nearly stock. Looking for something around $2,500. I don't have a lot of cash since I am in school but I need to find something to get me to school and work that I can take off road on the weekends.

Putting this truck back up for sale, I just am too busy to use it. It is an 86, has 163K miles on it, runs perfect. A/C works. I go this from a friends dad, who has had it since new, truck has been well maintained. It has been offroad a total of one time, I took my son up to Big Bear, and we took some fire roads. It has no dents, no scrapes underneath, really a pretty clean rig. It was the guys station wagon/grocery getter type of thing.
Truck is light tan with the original sticker type pinstriping. I buffed a small area of the hood, and the paint looks sweet. This rig has NO rust. It has lived its whole life here in the Coachella Valley, where it is VERY dry.
