Removal and install was done by Toyota dealer when the truck was owned by PO. I do have all the paperwork though. Truck has Wilderness Systems roof rack, 32X11.50 R15 Goodyear MTR Kevlars on stock wheels, and aftermarket CD player. Truck runs well and will move down the highway at 70 mph no problem.
The Bad: Cargo area carpet is gone. Rust behind rear wheels and a few spots on lift gate. Aftermarket antenna that is not motorized, but seems to have good reception. Needs motor for the washer fluid. Has a crack in the...

I’m the second owner. I purchased the rig in 2007 from a family friend who took excellent care of it. I drive from Hood River, OR to San Luis Obispo, CA and back every year (about 1,000 miles each way) and have never had any problems during the trips. It really does CRUISE at freeway speeds.
The previous owner held onto the car for as long as possible. It sat in the garage for several years before I bought it. He had the car for a long time and grew attached and maintained it accordingly. I offered to buy the car when it wasn’t even for sale and he said no but a year later he called me up and was willing to part with it.

The only thing that I want to point out to you guys is that it's a rust free rig. Brand new BFG 31" tires, lots of other OEM/new parts, upgraded headlights/harness, sound deadening all over, etc. I'm even including the very expensive Thule roof rack with MOAB basket. I think that was around $700 a year or so back. Oh, I nearly forgot, my stereo system will be staying with the truck as well. MTX 4 channel amp, JL Audio speakers in the doors, Alpines in the rear, a dual 12" JL Audio sub box along with the Premier HU in the dash. It's an amazing sounding system and even better with the under carpet treatments a few months back.
I'm asking $5K.

Selling the FJ60. It has a KKK turboed 3B installed. Also an Audi intercooler. Boost, EGT and oil pressure gauges, factory BJ dash with tach. Manual glow switch and Pto cable to shut down (no EDIC). Brand new AISIN clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throw out bearing. Head replaced about 5,000 miles ago by PO. Motor runs excellent! Also has ARB front winch bumper (no winch), tube rear bumber, roof rack, roll cage, aftermarket lift, dual shocks, 32" BFG a/t's, 42 gallon fuel tank, SS exhaust, Auburn limited slip front, custom louvered hood, hella fog lights, hella H4 headlights, dual Optimas (red and yellow), brand new JVC head unit. Thats all I can think of right now. Truck came from Califonia very little rust. Sat from 96 to 06...

Tried to buy this truck but ended up being a few hundred dollars away from what I needed it to be and what he thought it was worth. The guy seemed pretty upfront and honest about the condition and needs of the truck and indulged me when I asked him for a bunch of extra pictures.

Thought I should share this
Looking for a project FJ60. Ideally a truck in good shape physically with no rust in the body or frame. Smooth running engine is preferred but not mandatory as I have grand plans for a 1HDT/H55 swap on my 10 year itinerary and a desire to learn the mechanics of rebuilding an engine.
Cheaper is better, as I am part time college student and full time working stiff.
Oh, and for those who don't know the "State of Jefferson" is the imaginary 51st state composed of Southern OR and Northern CA.

Called the guy about this truck, and he told me that it was in great shape with nothing wrong with it. He was working and in a hurry, so I made an appointment to see the truck.
First thing I noticed when I got there was major pin striping of the paint. I had been told that the paint was in really good condition. It was far from it, and upon closer inspection, the vehicle had been poorly repainted.

Please excuse the no pics, camera is un-findable at the moment, but here's the deal, I've got a 1989 FJ62 with 250xxx miles that I've been trying to get rid of for some time now with little to no bites. Its white with rust starting to get somewhat bad in the typical spots because its been sitting for so long, 7 months or so, and in the midwest (Kansas City, Kansas) its going to rust its unavoidable. Reason I'm selling it is because I got another 62 soon after some bugs started to appear in this one, gutless, which I think a kick down cable adjustment will fix, and the battery wouldnt keep a charge, probably a bad alternator.
Best suited for a parts rig, or toy IMO

The only reason I am selling is I need something with better gas mileage. New 5 speed transmission installed 2 years ago (12,000 miles) by reputable Cruiser Mechanic in Portland.
