I’ve lost my new Tacoma to a deer, and I’m looking to get back into a cruiser of some sort. I’ve already put up one of these in the 80 and 100 classfield, but I wouldn’t mind a decent 60/62 to putt around in. I’d really prefer a 62, but a 60 with an efi conversion would be considered too. I’d like to find one relatively local to Morristown, TN if possible. It would have to be a manual transmission, and not have any significant rust, but other than that I’m open to checking it out. I’m looking to spend $10,000-$11,000 or so, if you’ve got something feel free to PM me any time!

Rare opportunity to own a low mile FJ62. Minimal body rust, frame is solid. Runs and drives good. Some would say it needs a paint job while others enjoy the fading and patina. I just had it on a 600 mile trip and it got 16.2 miles per gallon, she cruises at 75 miles an hour with all the gauges happy. 4 hi and 4 low work great, manual hubs. located in Loveland Colorado, $13,000. You could fly out from Florida and drive it right on home.
After much debate I’ve decided it’s time to sell my 1985 FJ60.
Purchased at 179k and it’s currently at 183,267k. I’ve had it for almost 4 years now and bought it as a project truck that I would slowly build. Just don’t have the time and money to keep going. I don’t use it like I should and it sits more then it gets driven which is a shame. It’s still a ways off from what I had envisioned for it but it starts right up and runs smooth and strong.
I’ll start with a list of mods and upgrades I’ve done.
-Did a Holley sniper EFI swap about a year ago. It’s amazing.

1986 Toyota FJ60 in 8B2 Blue with 174,400 miles currently. I purchased this out of Pennsylvania as a project and have since put a lot of time and parts into getting this back into somewhat of its original glory. Being an east coast vehicle it certainly wasn’t spared from salt and corrosion but I’ve addressed most of the issues as detailed below. I’ve been daily driving this to work every day for the last 3 months without any issues. It has been desmogged using the Jim C components.
- Gas tank was removed, cleaned, and resealed. It was also externally coated in POR15. The sending unit and pick-up assembly and associated gaskets were replaced with new, OEM units.

I have been looking for a clean (rust free) FJ 62 or silver 60 for some time and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Figured I’d see if anyone was on the fence about selling.
Would prefer mostly stock/original and under 200k miles. My price range is ~$20-30k depending on the condition and miles. I plan on making this a fun little project vehicle that I could tinker on/upgrade over time and would use for my short commute to work on nice days and trips to the mountains or the beach. Had a good run with the current rig but sadly it needs to go to make room for another project. It is in relatively good shape (just passed CA SMOG, again). Has 287k miles but the engine was yanked and rebuilt in 1999 at 223k miles.
I have put a decent bit of work into this thing over the last 12 years - new/rebuilt carb, intake manifold, intake filter housing, smog pump, vacuum line redo (several new valves/switches too), and EGR J-pipe and rail as well as distributor/ignition coil, and carb fan. The only real wear is on driverside seat and dash is a little sunworn.

I am going to be listing my beloved FJ62. I bought this rig off BAT in December 2021 and have loved it since the day I got it. My family is growing, and I need to get something a little more family friendly. Ideally a 200 series. This truck is built, bumper to bumper.

I’m listing my 1987 fj60 landcruiser project for sale as is. There’s a vacuum leak somewhere either in the gasket inbetween the manifold and head or the j- pipe. Maybe both. We’ve tried a second manifold gasket and a different j-pipe. I’m out of patience and have another project lined up. I’m asking $11k. If I don’t get any takers, eventually I’ll get to it and get it running. It’s rust free. Has some sheet metal damage on the fenders. Previous owner said the doors were left open in a wind storm. Selling my rig to fund some other projects, rig runs really good I have traveled a few 400 mile trips on Interstate 10 where the speed limit is 85 and she handles that speed just fine except it's kinda noisy (needs sound dampening mats), exterior paint is fading in some spots and clear coat is wearing off, "NO RUST ROT" anywhere on this rig, AC needs to be converted to R134, the engine is bone stock no mods, not desmogged, interior could be use some TLC but she's no garage queen I daily drive it, it has a sunroof which i disconnected but this was professionally installed...anyways my price is $11,500.00 (more picks upon request if interested)

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'm listing my beloved FJ62 for sale. My wife and I are building a house, and so it's time to thin the herd. I went pretty deep in trying to restore this car over the past several years, and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned. Everything on the vehicle works perfectly, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it on a road trip immediately. The only "issues" that I know of are a small crack in the dash, and the center console does not have a lid. I've put tens of thousands of dollars into this vehicle, and I have no idea where my price falls in today's market, but I feel that it's fair considering the excellent condition.
