1987 FJ60. Last year before Toyota went to the FJ62. Manual everything. I bought it about a year ago to build and just have too many projects. It ran when parked and has been mostly garaged all year. Right now the header and carb are removed and you'll need to put it back together. All the parts are there including the front grill, trim and bumper. The front leafs has been swapped and I have replacement rear leafs in the vehicle. Full pics in album below. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks you.

This cruiser used to belong to a buddy of mine, some of you might remember it. It’s changed hands a few times and at this point, it’s a rolling body.

Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way and I am having to sell my FJ62.
I bought this vehicle in December of 2021 from another forum member. I am going to relay some of the same information he did in his post since I have only tinted the windows and replaced a few lights.

Only notable things that have changed since purchasing:

I just finished selling the owners 1978 fj40 and it stayed here on Mud. Now selling his 1987 FJ60. He is in the process of buying a boat in Mexico to live on and is motivated to move this on to a new owner now!
As stock as they get! Even has the retro Stripes! Turns heads ! Only rust spot is on driver A pillar in pic. Frame , roof gutters all clean as seen in the pics. Runs great with a Jim C carb rebuild, new front brakes and calipers. 154K miles. Was parked on street and was hit and run a few years ago on the driver rear lower quarter panel(see pics). That’s its only body negative. Ultra clean body/frame/ etc. a good steam clean and it would look almost new underneath.

Im willing to pay up to $20k for a rust free FJ60 or FJ62. Non running, bad paint, trashed mechanicals all qualify for the $20k as long as the body is clean. Minor rust on rear lower quarters is acceptable. White preferred, FJ62 preferred. A must is that the bottom of the pillars to the roof must be rust free. If the seam sealer is cracked in the gutters please make sure that there is no rust anywhere along the seam sealer underneath the gutters and in the door jam of the a pillar

I have a very rust free fj60 for sale. Unfortunately it has truck liner paint but was originally red. I bought it out of Texas. It has a jasper 350 with 7000 miles that was installed 9 years ago at a shop in Texas. I have the receipt from the install. It still has factory toyota 4 speed manual transmission. It does not have an ac compressor but could be easily sourced for the 350. Runs very well. Recently had fuel tank cleaned and new carb installed. Tires have lots of tread but are weather cracked. Brake master cylinder is new. Clutch master and slave are 3 years old.

This vehicle currently sits at 135,422 miles. It starts and runs perfectly. The items that don't work are as follows.... Rear washer squirter, Rear defrost. The A/C needs to be charged after my body off resto but works. Everything else works great. When I was down there we put in a refurbished 2H checked through trans and transfer and birfs. Mechanically car is sound. Needs wheels and tires due to sitting and I’d check seals as well. Just dropped oil pan and replaced gasket no leaks now! The hood is rust free frame, no big rust on body (little on pinch welds). We went through and cut out any rust and patched with steel. It was resprayed then but it’s not the best…. spray...

1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 owned since 2007. $16,000. Rebuilt 2F with new 0.02" over pistons, and a Delta camshaft. The head was rebuilt to accept larger SBC valves and springs. Very little body rust. One small spot on the cowl and one pinhole in the roof gutter. Frame is in excellent condition. A section of one rear quarter panel was replaced with a donor cutout when the truck was repainted. The previous owner installed an aftermarket sunroof and removed the headliner. I also have the original block and a donor roof section to replace the sunroof if interested. The A/C works, measured 35°F at the vent, although the fan is stuck on low speed. Driver's seat bottom has the usual wear. I have a collection of many spare parts available...
Selling my 1989 FJ62 cruiser. I purchased the truck from the original owner (Ed Andrews) in 2018 and have been using it as a weekend driver since. Ed used it to drive the NC/SC/VA interstates taking soil and water samples for the state/local governments. He kept it garaged and maintained at a Raleigh Toyota dealership. Ed had it painted the original color in 2014 (as a birthday present to himself) so the exterior looks very nice and the all original interior looks just as nice.
