I have a 1966 FJ-40 project for sale. Has a clear title. All drive train intact. Engine is there, but the head and everything else is in the front seat. Has some rust in the rear below the tailgate. Interior is a little on the rough side, but there. Hardtop has been shortened to just behind the front bench seat. Has a mini truck look. $1000 cash. Located just outside of Boise, ID. I have two fj40s sitting at my shop. Getting married soon
and have to clear out my project. The 72 is in good
condition has the normal rust at back of it. slight rust at back of door sills were fender is open.
The drivers shock mount is cracked.and needs head gasket. I have the hard and soft top.
It has a f and a 3spd. The parts cruiser has a 2f 4spd disc brakes frnt and pwr steering.

I have decided to list my Fj40 up for sale. 1977 FJ40 w/2f motor. Saginaw power steering, just replaced all the tie rod ends, brakes, axle seals, install a new steering stabilizer, new spark plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. New alternator. I just put a brand new pioneer cd player with 6x9 speakers in boxes. Cost me $500. It has a full roll cage. It has a new man-a-fre rear seat. The shackles have been reversed. I just recently purchased this after falling in love with it at an insurance auction. It was from western PA if anyone knows it. It had bumped a tree with the passenger corner of the windsheild frame and bent the hardtop and passenger door around the window frame. Ok, I don't know these that well so please bear with me. The lift is all suspension lift but I don't know how much lift is there. The rears have been rolled and the front rear was cut so the castor and camber is right. I am interested in trading my '80 RHD FJ40 plus cash for an extremely clean stock '79 - or older US Version FJ40. I would consider an original condition or correct top notch restoration.
My FJ40 is a two owner with 69,000 original KMs. It is fitted with aftermarket PS, JVC stereo with 10 disc CD changer, and very cold A/C. The vehicle is John Deere Green. I have spent the last 2 years doing a frame-off restoration on this cruiser. I went to great lengths to be sure that rust will never be a problem including stainless hardware on all the body parts that are exposed to weather. I used bed liner to protect all of the paint-to-paint body connections and painted the entire bottom and floor of the tub with POR15 after sandblasting it to bare metal. I am selling my 1976 FJ40 for $7800 OBO. It runs good and strong. The mechanic confirmed it. The Truth: 33" tires are in real good shape. It came from Arizona, so the frame is very solid with limited rust spots. The paint job is not great, but looks real good from about 10 feet. Up close, you will find a few crack in the paint on the back part and corner of the drivers side. I put $1000 into brake work and electrical work this past summer. All new brakes and brake cylinders and lines and what not. It has a Chevy 350 V8 engine that runs strong. I have a brand new Kayline soft top still in the box for this rig. I was going to paint the vehicle and do some body work before installing the top, but with child #2 on the way, moving to Canada...

This Cruiser is all original and complete, never been painted and in excellant mechanical condition. Electrically sound as well, all lights and switches are present and functional. Previous owner has installed a roll bar and a Confer security storage box behind the front seat. The Ramsey 9000K winch is included in the asking price, but I will keep the winch at a reduced price.
I have the top, it is white in color, I forgot to get a picture of it.:whoops: I also have the running boards.
