I realized I was missing the OEM spring bracket for the slave cylinder. I also wanted to preserve the slave cylinder against the heat from the exhaust pipe just below, so I made a new stainless bracket for myself that incorporated a heat shield...
Still a few items to do including muffler, exhaust, bug catcher weather stripping install. But just finished bed, tailgate, headache rack install. Looks like a 45 finally.
I think you would need a top cover from a stock 1971 to 74 3 on the floor to get a port for the reverse switch. Yours was originally above the steering box along with the 3 on the tree linkage.
Holy moly what a fiddly operation! But the assembly is in! Took a friend and I 2 hours to get done. I unfortunately didn’t have the parking brake parts reinstalled since I assumed you could take all that off and on once the tranny was installed…...
Before 1968, different states had different rules regarding The dates on titles.
Some use the manufacturing year, others used the first sale date.
I don't know how dealers accommodated those changes - it must have been strange.
