….and the alternator conversion brackets are in and ready!

This helps you accomplish a pretty simple but substantial upgrade to your electrical system - change your 2F alternator to a 3FE (FJ80!) alternator and jump from 55A to 80A. This bracket installs with one bolt and allows for the proper range of motion in adjustment and the stock 2F belt. It might accommodate a 2F alternator if you go backwards to that, too. There are a few puzzles to solve in the process: the electrical plug (Coolerman has that) and tensioner bracket (seen above). Depending on the alternator you buy (Rock Auto, used, etc), you may need to modify the pulley or get a different one since the 2F pulley doesn’t work. I’m working on a suggestion for that.

This is a matte black textured powder coat and I think it turned out really well. Where I took the photos was pretty sunny, so there’s some light reflection going on - it looks more black in person. Available here.

The colors match but the shade of red seems a little off from the wires I usually see. I’ve also never seen gauges like that for those wires (if they are indeed the metric equivalent of 10awg). Go ahead and PM me, let’s chat.
Late in following up, but wanted to post that Jim graciously offered his time and expertise to methodically help troubleshoot the install of the fusible link replacement kit. Ultimately, we concluded that my truck had some non-standard wiring. I crimped on a new set of the appropriate butt splice connectors and everything went together perfectly. Jim even offered to send some on his dime, but I had some on hand already. Thank you!

Thanks for your patience, and I'm glad everything's sorted out now!

Update: I will be out of town 5/1-5/3 and again 5/6-5/13.

I'll leave the website open, but I have the out-of-town info on a banner at the top of the web page so people can order (or not) accordingly. Any orders that come in during that time will get shipped after 5/13 since I probably wont have much bandwidth for the brief time I'm back home 5/4-5/5.
