First off, I am not really affiliated with this cruiser. I saw it and stopped to take a look. I asked permission to post it on the site and the woman said if someone from here bought it and mentioned that I told them about it, she would give me $100. That said if you do call about this truck and buy it you can mention me or not, it doesn't matter to me.
Now for the truck(I am going to describe it to the best of my ability as I am typing this from memory when I looked at it before thanksgiving).
1975 or 1977(can't remember exactly) Toyota FJ40 - 88,xxx miles on odo.
Original motor - doesn't smoke
4 spd tranny.

I have it on craigslist (1973 Land Cruiser FJ40)
I have a friend who has this FJ40 and asked me to post if up for him.
It is a one owner, 46K mile rig, factory soft top. They had bought this truck new in 1969, and drove it around town since. It has been sitting for three years. She did fire right up and runs well. They are going through the brakes right now so it can be driven.
It has a nice drop tailgate, and the orignal tool pouch is there, but missing some, if not most of the tools.
They had a custom car cover made for it, which fits it perfectly.
It was garage stored for the three years it has been sitting.
Very little rust, especially for a northeast rig. Very well taken care of.
He is looking to get 9K for it, but would take a little less. Has been gone through...

I have a 1971 AMC Javelin in Quicksilver metallic, with black interior. Has a very strong 360 V8(No leaks) and a GM 200r4 (4spd overdrive trans). I has been completely restored, everything works!!! Power disc brakes(new), front and rear sway bars(new), all new suspention bushings, new BFG tires, new exhaust with a tough yet quiet note!! It will drive anywhere! Originally had A/C, it is not installed in the car but, I have all the parts to re-install it. Also, has tilt wheel, and extra touch up paint(1 quart, and a spray can) also, front AMX spoiler is included. Car is valued at $15,000...let's talk if you have something...
I would like a clean, rust/rot free, and original 78'-81' FJ40, or 82'-87' FJ60.

Nobody wants a 1978 FJ40 project? Is the economy that bad? General Electric 1st quarter earnings got you worried. Invest in old betsy, she just needs to be finished. It has been garaged the past 12 years. Frame is 8/10, Top is 8/10, needs some metal work on the body. Engine has been de-smogged. New radiator, new poly gas tank, brand new SOR exhaust, distributor. The truck runs, just needs some minor brake/ clutch work. Yodafrick has even blessed it. $2200 obo. Located in CT. If not old betsy, how about the FJ60?:cheers:
This land cruiser is a good running truck with a decent body (for FJ40s anyway). There is some rust but it is not terminal and should be fairly easy to repair. I have the top and doors as well as an extra tailgate. This would be a great cruiser to take hunting or camping. This FJ has had a small block chevy conversion and runs strong. I have had an issue with it burning points but will include a HEI distributor with the purchase to fix that issue. Call me with questions,

FJ40 All Original, Need to Sell :(
Regrettably, I am selling my '73 FJ40 Cruiser. It is completely original with stock everything. It has minimal rust; the only rust is on the back quarter panels. The engine is also stock and it runs great. I drive it to school and back everyday, as well as work. I currently have it listed on eBay, but I am willing to sell it outright to a fellow IH8MUDer. I have a 77 FJ40 Arizona truck which is finished mechanically with a 5 speed tranny and body wise is solid original, have receipts 25K+. I also have a 76 FJ40 rolling chassis with re built 2F & complete aluminum body kit, tub installed and nearly all parts needed for completion, have receipts 17K+. FJ40 Project for sale. I hate to part with it, but I just don't have the time to put into it. Here are the basics:
Tub is trashed - I was in the process of removing it
Prior to my teardown it started, ran, and stopped
A few new mechanical parts here/there (water pump, starter, hoses)
