I just installed these as well. I also wish I wouldn't have waited, and I wish I had known about them sooner. @marcus clarkus : If there is a prize for recommending the all-time BEST aftermarket, <$100 upgrade/accessory...you have my vote! While I don't often drop things into that gap...when I do, my short-hairs curl in anticipation of having to stop the truck, open the door, and engage in the annoying exercise of fishing for a pen, phone, AirPod, or French fry.
Seat gap fillers were recommended in the original post six years ago. Always been a favorite in this thread.

In case anyone is trying this on an LX, beware that that 12v pigtail going to the cigarette lighter is apparently different than the LC (maybe due to the diff stereo?). This kit won’t fit. Too bad, looks super cool!

Mine is a 2020 fwiw.
Bummer!

Might have already been covered in here, but has anyone found a good phone mount solution for 08-15 LCs?

Specifically, looking for something that doesn't require cutting of panels and/or does not use weak double sided tape.

I used THIS one from Peak Design, the charging version and just ran the wire under a the side panel of the center stack (prying back and sliding it under) and plugged into the 12V lighter plug next to the ashtray. It's secure, mag-safe, and pretty perfect for me...

Thanks. No concerns of broken vent tabs with this type of mount?

Na, I haven't noticed any feeling of it being brittle or breaking... and it's a TIGHT fit... which is good. My phone stays very secure. If you're looking for a vent mount, this one is great.

Check out Vicseed options on Amazon. Strong magnet. Versatile. Strong clamp. No fin damage after 3 years. Minimalist. No charging options; I like having the option to charge as needed.

I wonder if this will fit in the slot where the stock usb c/aux cord is.
@texag06ish I actually considered doing the same thing.

Here's my take on the matter: The stock location faces directly up and its particular location is very dust-prone. I looked around for a USB-C that had some type of dust boot similar to the stock dust boot but I couldn't find one. My concern would be that an open USB-C port facing straight up would get clogged with dust over time.

Anyone else have thoughts on this? I would prefer to be able to replace that stock Toyota USB-A port with something a bit more useful.

I just ordered a Hamilton Car Play kit. My next question would be if it’s compatible.

I bought one of these, going to remove/disable the LED. Has the charger worked well, so far?
@GrouchyTech No issues here! It’s worked well. The LED isn’t bad at all. I went with blue. Nice to know where the plugs are at night.

@GrouchyTech :I've had it installed for over a year. Charges great with zero issues.

Great deal going on Scepter Nato 5gal cants. Even comes with a nice water spout solution.
