Ya know I bought my first Harley in 1971, Got married in 73 I still have that ride not the women.Bought my second Harley in 78 I still have that ride and that womens gone.Bought a new bj42 in 82 that was given to my son through a divorce so in theory I still got that and not the women.I could go on but I think you get the picture.

Good for you man. Remember what is important in life. I would much rather have my wife and family than some rusting toy any day. Good luck with your sale, sorry you have to part with it though.

I would not think the rusting toy is the only issue, my wife hates my jeep scrambler, and now also hates my fj40 sitting in pieces all over the garage, but she is happy I have them because they make me happy. My three children 8, 14, and 18 also love them, so maybe it is not me, but either way she puts up with me and them. Family is the most important things, but with that needs to come the ability to support each other in things they really love. If it is a money or storage problem then that is another story. I am lucky my wife puts up with me and all my junk.

Know you feel you got to do what you think is right. BUT, and this come from experience ('59 MGA 1500 was the toy); if you get pushed to get rid of this and you give in, it will happen again over something else. There are a lot of things you could be doing and throwing money into that are far worse than a FJ40.

Each lady I dated after first wife was introduced to the cruisers; usually showed up for second date in it (only had one at the time). My wife likes them and encourges me with them.

If the budget allows the FJ40 in todays economic stress, keep it. Just my 2 cents; but as I said earlier, I have been there.

You have built a beautiful rig and it would be good if your wife could accept it BECAUSE you love it...

Guys: Maybe they have limited storage space, maybe they can own only one vehicle and they both need to drive that one vehicle... we dunno the specifics... Only Bill can make the decision.

I'm just glad it's not on the east coast or I'd be dangerously tempted...

Good luck with the sale, and the wife. Tell her we said... well, you know.
