Seems a bit backwards, huh? It's only going on for a couple of weeks, just needed to get that paint matched up and see how it all looks for now since it's been so long. As long as gas stays cheap, I'm in for wheeling. :)

Cool. I'll let you know what's coming up.

Nice work. Love the look of those corrugated hardtops from the 60's. Also looks great with the old school tires. Good luck!

So cool that you kept the vacuum hubs! Looks great!

Thanks guys! I really love these early 40s they are very simplistic in their design but have such great character and details at the same time

I know it's now Tuesday but I drove to Tacoma WA this weekend and picked up my seats for my troopy. I bought them out of Phoenix and used mudship to have them brought up to within 5 hours of me. Thanks Odie! Would definitely use him again! Anyway, here they are installed.

Yep, Odie (@megatoy66) is a great shipper for Phoenix-Tacoma, both sides of the Sierras!!

Those seats are great! The upholstery can't be original??? They put mine to shame.

I installed a new rear bumper from Trail-Tailor. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/bumpers-roof-racks-and-gutter-mounts-for-sale.812458/
He makes an amazing product and he is unbelievable to work with. I think my turn around time from the time I ordered it to the time it was sitting in front of my house was less than a month. I contacted him yesterday about him making me a cooler rack that will go in my spare tire receiver and he shipped it out already. That's hours for a turn around time.
Install was a breeze, it fit perfectly. The PO did some crazy stuff with the rear cross member on my 40 and it is slightly bowed outward. I just used a couple washers as spacers until I can figure out a safe way to bend it back straight.
The PO also closed up the rear tailgate but that will be reopened by me at a later date and the jeep tail lights will be removed and new LEDs will be added to the new rear bumper.
I ordered my bumper with the double swing out, triple jerry can holder, spare tire receiver option, and high lift jack mount

Hi all. This 40 has been sitting in the shop for the las year. Body is almost done. Next week will be doing floor boards. Liner. Rear windows. Etc. Etc....
