Good new is the crankshaft was able to move so its not seized, put in a battery to test the lights and only got the headlights, one brake light, and one hazard light to work, then decided to put the hard top on.

Reupholstered Jump Seats

Just reupholstered the 4 seat bottoms for the jumper seat on my HJ47. I'll do the backs tomorrow. Piece of cake. Think it will look great once I put the TEQ decals on the bottom of the seats.

The fusible link???? What happened?

Rudi

Yep ! I wish you were nearby bj40green, I've been running it in the garage for a few months, then today, I go for a real first drive and at some point the link blows, and it now blows every time I run it... But the lights work, and all fuses in the box are not blown... Something must of come loose, or moved or something...

On the positive side.....better the fusible link than the harness on fire.
What did the Ammeter show when it happened?
If the Ammeter didn't show a high discharge you have a (intermittent) short to ground. Look for chafing/rubbing spots.

Hi Shush. I love that rear seat. Im currently looking for a good way to mount a Jeep (blaspheme; I know) in my 40. I love the brackets that you used for the ICON seat. Can you tell me where you found the seat? Did the brackets come with it or did you have to make them? Thanks!!

Got into the BJ this morning and glanced down as I was going down the road......WTF +30 on the volt meter?? Turned on the AC and it dropped to about 15. Got to the spare parts shop and had a looksy. Didn't take long to find the culprit! Luckily they had another in stock, so a quick repair and all is good!

Long story short -

Finished installing new (used) engine. Had vibration in rear - noticed PO had canter shims installed - backward - new u-bolt (messed one up coming off) - turned shims around. Still vibration - finally noticed I put drive shaft together 180% off - fixed that. Then went to test, clutch slipping! Posted on here - shortened pushrod (way to long) installed new pushrod - now slave cyl. pissing fluid, called local parts shop (they actually had one!) and put that back on. Back on the road, finally, no vibration. Still need to adjust clutch and pedal height.

Currently waiting on new Motor mounts from CruiserCorps - and need to install new heater valve - mount new (used) rear heater - PO took it out for some reason (Northern Maine... really bad idea) and re-install carpets. This should all happen Saturday.

It's all just money and time! :crybaby:

Tell me this :censor: junk will be worth it in the end! :hillbilly:

Figured I'd post a pic after my little cry session.
