Been nice to not work on my truck lately. I've been driving it. Got my Girl a hot-n-ready.

Dyno sheets or BS.

Really i just want to see those curves

Prolly lil bs...hahah motor made 560 on dyno with Bo-Laws Holley and victor jr intake, took all of about 30 feet of driving to realize that was junk, tossed all that went for torquer 2 and nicley built rochester, so i would say that killed it down to about 400, its very manageable great offroad manners, chugs right along..

Spent a couple hours getting it ready to be towed from my friends house to mine, got it home, cleaned out part of the tub, spent 5 min pulling out a bunch of garbage pail kids trading cards out of the glove box, then removed the seats.

Not mine... but I drove my father in law's stock 69 FJ40. Just out of his driveway and around the block once. THen put it back into the driveway. (Needed to park his rod rod in the garage and the cruiser was in the way). It made me happy to drive a stock LC again. Just for heck of it I opened up to under seat toolbox to see if there was anthing in there... He had the canvas tool roll with all the tools in it!!!! The grease gun still was wrapped in plastic and unused. I didn't have my phone or I would have snapped a picture... next time I'm over there I will.

Cool thing is I will most likely end up with that cruiser. He just bought a 1961 Chevy truck that's all set up for drag racing and he's tired of and bored with the cruiser. He said he'll sell me the cruiser when I've got the money for it. :) I am excited to own a stock cruiser again soon.

Finally finally got the heater installed. Also added a couple of LED lights to the dash that are switched so I can see at night if need be.

I have to work on making some small adjustments to the transmission hump cover for the twin sticks. Slight clearance issues. Don't know how I plan to solve that one yet and still have it look clean.

Got more pics? I'd love to see what you figure out around the twin sticks. The PO of my rig put a Dana 300 with a SM420 and I'm stumped for ideas on how to finish it off better.

Last week in prep for Cruisin' The Woods I finally bent up and welded in a gadget bar just below the roll cage handles and in front of the dash box. I put a bend in it to substitute for what looks like a dealer installed grab bar over the glove box. Then I put a hole in the dashbox to run wires through the OEM dash pad light hole and another for a dual USB charger from BlueSea. Also ran my rock light controller into the box.

Then I went wheeling. :D You can kind of see a GPS mount and cupholder from RAM in between the seats on the dash. They attach via 1" ubolt mounts used for handlebars.

These are from the upper Crushers trail in Tillamook State Forest. It was part of the med/hard run I led.

Took a drive up to my folks house to try out my trollhole carb at 8000ft. Worked great! Just have some linkage sticking issues to work out.

Also grabbed a cool pad that they gave me from our '94 Suburban that fit the rear area. Just incase I need to crash in the back.

disassembled and removed the roof (who the hell decided to mount the hooks for the bifold like that?!...hopefully just p.o.), removed defrost vents to drop windscreen, and took doors off. found some surface rust which i'll take care of this weekend, oh, and found a guy who can duplicate all gaskets having to do with the "corrugated" hardtop...or whatever they call it these days...
oh, and i put a few miles on it...more smiles per mile than a sport bike

Destin,

You and your truck continue to inspire. Can't wait until the day I can use mine as a camping/climbing/fishing truck, instead of a gas-guzzling grocery getter :D
