Now that the summer heat has passed, I am focused on getting my old 40 in better shape. In the last few weeks I have:

Installed koito headlights

Fixed turn signal (had to put setscrew in top of shaft linkage to fix too much slop)

Pulled mechanical fuel pump and installed block off (have fitech injection)

Added correct shift pattern plate to glove box door and onto shift knob for H55 trans

Have dash on order from FJ40dash, will install as soon as it arrives

Have final electrical bits to finish transfer pump from secondary con-fer tank up to main underseat tank that has intank pump for injection (spare holley blue pump I had is now transfer pump)

This mostly leaves pro car bucket seats on my wish list!

Tank and new fuel lines etc...installed, now to flip her back over to the stand and prep for paint. Light Olive (6L4)

How much does yoru trailer weigh ? I am looking at maybe pulling my M101A1 with my 40 TIA
I have preliminary weight bare during construction. I have not weighed it loaded, but the goal was less the 3000#. I have added up the accessories, appliances, food and water and I think I am around 2500 with 50 gallons of water. Trailer brakes are desirable.

A lot of US places have figured out all that inspection BS is just licensed corruption. CO2 is like 460 parts per million part of air. Man made/caused CO2 is like 3% of that - so we will spend needless billions to reduce 10% of that. Meanwhile wild range and forest fires pollute the air so thick at times I can't see my neighbors house a block away. How many tons of TNT are they using a day in the Ucrime - guess what that all turns to CO2 and NOx. What the gas mileage of the M1A? Abrams 3 gallons per mile F16 in full AB isn't any better. And the volcanoes got us out of the ice ages - note plural and all that happened before the dinosaurs started driving SUV
Certainly rockets, bombs, and tanks aren't helping the environment. Unless they're the most moral tanks and bombs of course, then its fine apparently.
Maybe I wasnt clear though - im not driving my diesel truck around to get past the clean air regulations, it just happens to be exempt.

The human population of the earth has more than doubled in my life. Hard data from our global monitoring spacecraft (that we make) is explicitly clear - without major change we are all screwed.
I don't mind a bit of conspiracy theory, but the chips really are down on this one.

It really took a while as these 2 colors are very difficult to recognise, but finally decided that the new color of the FJ40 FST is going to be 637 (olive "yellow"), just to have it a little different of the 653 (olive "brown") I already have.

a 4.2L DIESEL Engine Land Cruiser made it possible to safely transport the 400,000 year old Ice Core sample back to the Antarctic Research Station Base that provided the Rocket fact-based Science data that proved beyond the shadow of any 24 hour newz-cycle doubt , that man kind's industrial revolution sputnik moment to present day 2024 was / is responsible for 2023 being the warmest year since global records began in 1850 at 1.18°C (2.12°F) above the 20th-century average of 13.9°C (57.0°F). This value is 0.15°C (0.27°F) more than the previous record set in 2016. The 10 warmest years in the 174-year record have all occurred during the last decade (2014–2023 ) .........

I got a new exhaust and air box from Altitude Speed and Fab in Broomfield, CO. They are a new shop and they did excellent work! I highly recommend them and I will be going back to have them finish my A/C.

I was turned away or I couldn’t get a return call from a dozen other shops, and those who I did speak with said that they wouldn’t work on this Cruiser because of how modified it is. As a last resort I even went to 4-Wheel Parts and they walked me outside and away.
