If your talking about the cover on the right ambulance door 77 did not have that. But unless someone modified the wiring harness there is a way to disconnect the license plate lights harness from the harness running to the back. As I remember the...
And . . . solved. It was that single contact, which had clearly been going bad and blowing the fuse before it lost contact altogether. I wired in a jump around the plug for that circuit for now, and everything came up again—turn signals and...
If you’ve moved on to fluid film, but still have a fair amount of boiled linseed oil, know that it works wonders on old whiskey barrels. A local brewery was liquidating (RIP Orpheus), and I picked up a used Woodford Reserve barrel (they were...
Been thinking of the "to do" list: motor mounts, center arm rebuild, rain gutter repair, hardtop restore, the thing consumes some oil, maybe a top end job... Or, I just keep adding oil, keep filling the tank, keep on keeping on and trying to...

This top has been a pain to take apart and I’m sure will be doubly so putting it back together, but you can see how well built it is (like other aspects of the truck) relative to other peer trucks of the day.
It's been to long to be 1000% sure but if that is the one that goes over the top of the windshield, then no. The windshield frame simply fits in a recess on the bottom of the gasket.
