What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

@CondeCruiser those windows are super cool! Can you share some more info on parts used and how it all works?
I used 2 sets of pop out latches and hinges from later model tops. I found new one on ebay. They seem to be well made. Took the old windows out and made cardboard templates and added about an inch all the way around. Then transferred that over to the 1/8" lexan. The weatherstrip is a trim with a bulb on one side.
I have trim seal with top bulb coming today. Not sure which one will be better.

Well if you are going for the broverland look they need to be gullwings
I will be able to remove these windows also. I doubt i will be taking the top off in the near future.

That’s a great idea. I was looking at 1/4” lexan at Home Depot a couple days ago and was thinking of using conventional seals with these pop out vents.

We use them in the helicopter but they don’t seem to move too much air. I like your idea much better. Maybe a combination of both.

Thanks. They are pretty cool, but I'm not sure how they are going to handle vibration.
The siennas have pretty robust electrical actuators. It’d take some doing to get the wiring, but I’ve had them problem free on two vans at over 200k without issues.

It’s wood season again. I took a poser shot for documentation.

Now that the summer heat has passed, I am focused on getting my old 40 in better shape. In the last few weeks I have:

Installed koito headlights

Fixed turn signal (had to put setscrew in top of shaft linkage to fix too much slop)

Pulled mechanical fuel pump and installed block off (have fitech injection)

Added correct shift pattern plate to glove box door and onto shift knob for H55 trans

Have dash on order from FJ40dash, will install as soon as it arrives

Have final electrical bits to finish transfer pump from secondary con-fer tank up to main underseat tank that has intank pump for injection (spare holley blue pump I had is now transfer pump)

This mostly leaves pro car bucket seats on my wish list!
