Great solution. I went a much more complicated route and turned a pair of shouldered bushings out of Delron to solve the same problem on my very worn doors.
I was surprised that there wasn't a bushing used for this application. It appears the door metal itself acts as the bushing with just a plastic washer to help the lever use/twist/rotate against the painted door. I was going to go the shouldered bushing route, but the hole isn't worn too much.

How each problem gets resolved is like the quote, 'Necessity is the Mother of Invention."

Hey all,
New Guy, first post. This week I managed to get my FJ43 from the port of Baltimore and have it shipped to my home in Northeast Ohio. The shipper arrived to the port of Baltimore and the truck would not start or roll. He never managed to get it started, but he was nice enough to use a winch to pull it into his enclosed trailer and bring to the house. Once he arrived, we used my 4Runner to pull it out of the trailer and pull/push it into the garage.
Once in the garage, I did a quick walk around and found the things that has been messed up during shipping. I removed the customs labels and residue with goo gone and took off the old badging.
Then the bigger issues started to get addressed. I am working through the ignition and brake issues now. It looks like I am getting intermittent spark to the plugs, but it appears to be really weak. I have adjusted the front left brake drum so that the wheel will now roll. The right rear drum is still locked no matter how much the star wheel is adjusted.
I ordered new badges from Specter Off Road. I am looking for a good vendor for seat belts that fit. It currently has aftermarket shoulder belts.
Thanks to all who have poster here over the years, I have been a long time stalker, now I finally have something to post.
