Well, recovering these seats took a lot more effort than I anticipated, but the end results were good. Both sides done now.

Rebuilt sm465 and Orion now installed! Beginnings of a crossmember mounted. These suckers bolted together are HEAVY!

Should give you sloth speed... careful not to break things when in deep reduction.

You could make a business selling those. Either with original or reproduction bezels.

I’ve got a six point cage so I can’t see it working in my rig... but so many others could benefit from a ‘stock’ tach. In my case stock sailed long ago and I’ve got a tach clamped to the front roll bar hoop.

I do have a CNC machining program to reproduce the bezels, its been designed with the opening for the tach centered to suit left or right hand drive.

Sorry - was just a knee jerk reaction! If these are going into production I might be interested. Would love to get rid of the tac hanging off the bottom of my steering wheel by a hose clamp. I hesitate to say I'm 100% in as there are a lot of other projects that could potentially take priority, I'd want to know the cost of the bezel, cost of the gauge, cost to ship out of Australia (based on your Avatar) etc. before I committed. But if the price was right, I'd bite.

proved Sammy Hagar wrong.... made it to 62.8 on the first test drive of the new pig

gave it a good bath afterward and probably picked up a 1/4 sec in the mile lol
she one dirty pig and now ive probably violated a few AG laws

Bare metal would work, several MUD members have posted some paint colors that are a close enough match.

When I can find time, I might do a run of 10 bezels machined to suit a 2 5/8" tach and offer them as bezel only, no tach or paint / coating.
