Obtained, Fitted, Painted, and Installed a set of half doors from CCOT.
It took longer than a week, but I did have to work around the changing seasons/weather. ;)

Sorry, here you go.

A fellow member sent me a pic of the grill that should go there. I thought maybe I asked a stupid question that everyone but me knew. The lower opening, I know now should have a grate over it. From what sites I've looked at seems to be NLA.

Perhaps @koxfarm is referring to the VW pedal pad you have installed on your Toyota. hahaha

@gator25 Yes I need that grate too, maybe @Racer65 may consider manufacturing a like OEM replica? I also believe they are NLA

Yes sir, I'll post a better picture in little while. Looks like there should be a plate there to block it off. It's about the same size as the one the duct that goes to heater covers.

Ask me, if you can't find what you need Nolen... I pulled both heaters and everything associated with them... I have no iintention of reusing any of it

I played around with some EL wire to illuminate my cabin a little better. I wired it using the bullet connections for the dash lower light.

Don’t worry I’m going to clean up the location of the wiring. I just wanted to see it lit up first.

Also, the 100 I’m using for its drivetrain to go into my 40 was loaded up onto the shippers trailer. Should be here Tuesday!

Sold my 40.... project now I can focus on fixing up the one I’m keeping
He should be back tue or wed with a moving truck to get. Kinda bitter sweat but it’s going to a guy with skills and time to take it to the next level.
Looking forward to getting the fj cruiser back in the garage.

Minor and major disaster.

Spent the afternoon trying to complete the repainted and refurbished doors. Tried to install the lock in the drivers door and suddenly the lock will not turn or accept the key. So now I have to take the lock back to the locksmith who changed the key tumblers to see why it is seized.

The felt strips from SOR went in extremely well but their phillips head bolts for the upper frame mounts are soft so I switched to a metric hex head bolt. When I tried to turn in one bolt it was evidently to long, came into contact with the window glass and the glass shattered into a million pieces. So now the drivers door has to have the lock repaired and the passenger door needs a new glass. And I thought I would have both finished today. :frown:

@phils40 those look great! I installed a pair of those in my 45 and was very satisfied with the fit, finish and delivery time of the product.

Damn! Some days just suck. I prescribe a double single malt, one regular ice block and several deep breaths. Oh, and you're booked off for the rest of the day.

It gets better; today I started on the rear hatch. SOR is sending a new handle and gasket. Instead of the normal handle, a PO had put some kind of a twist handle on the outside and jury rigged the mechanism inside. The hot rod shop simply reinstalled what they took off and without knowing what was proper. Now I am on the search for new parts for inside the hatch. Never ends!
