Picked up some powder coated goodness from Salem Powder Coat. Mostly for the 64. Some for the 73. All pewter... the older pewter has more grey to it and they matched it up nicely.

Also not pictured are all of the seat frames for the 64. Sweetness!

Powder as compared to brand new OEM bumper. Close, but greyer. Again better match to 64.

Also a shot of seat frames...

Put in a good day today. Mostly house stuff, hung some lights, re-shimmed a door jamb that likes to get tight in the winter, the usual. But, after all that, I was able to finish off the ome spring install and remove the last few engine bay items in the way for mocking up my new drivetrain. Feels like I'm on the verge of some real progress this spring. It's nice trading out old greasy junk for nice new oem parts and fresh paint.

On that note...many of us have been hounding Greg @fjgoober to offer lower dash pads for us earlier rigs with the two piece bottom pad (no radio). Well, after seeing they were finally available on his website, I pulled the trigger on a full set. Couldn't be happier. Great quality, same exact dimensions as oem, and a matching set top and bottom.

Do you have the manufacturer and color code for the 64 pewter stuff? I'd like to get a swatch and compare to my 66 glove box door. Thanks!

I'll see if I can get it from them...

Went in to paint the bottom part of the air cleaner, and ended with this.

@steffan if you dont mind my asking, what bushings did you use? I am engaged in the same project on the '76. Thanks

Had my friend burn in some new motor and transfercase v8 mounts in their correct locations. Finally making some progress!

This, coupled with the new 60-series shift-tower from Georg and I'm really happy with the shifter location. Only about 1/2" or some from the stock location.

Sure beats the the old location - which was the reason for that massive gash in my transmission tunnel. THAT will be a fun repair...

I still need to work out the side-to-side location. Clearances are TIGHT on the driver's side, even with the engine only 3/8" toward driver's side from center. The major issues being the steering pump and oil dipstick tube...

I need to do some more research as to how that will affect my driveshafts on the passenger side. Right now, I really can't see how folks get the V8 a full 1-1.5" to the driver's side.

Either way - happy to be making progress. Almost warm enough to start painting and re-sealing!

@sterling looking good! Are you having to replace the internal seals that the filter element rest against above and below it or are yours good? I need to replace them on the '76

Mine are good so far.
