Another cheap DIY kit for front end alignment! I was a half inch out Toe-out. Beats the $100+ shops in town wanted plus scheduling. Now I can do my other vehicles whenever I want💥😎

Ha! Yeah, here what's left over. I think I bought just bought a packet of zip ties at Lowe's for the price of this whole kit!

Nice job! You mentioned it’s from Toyota- do you have a part number for it? One more question- are those relays? My factory 1974 has no headlight relays.

Everything you need is in the kit. Wiring harness, relays, fuses, glass light fixtures, bulbs and more than enuff zip ties. It plugs into a headlight plug and gets power directly from the battery. Typically it's around $20. I shortened my harness for a cleaner install. @Buffchief 's 1st pic is the kit.

Couple of pieces of angle, some drilling and cutting and 💥 you have one
I made mine a couple years ago with some aluminum angle I had laying around.
 
If you have a pressure gauge it might be good to get a reading temporarily just to know where you're at.
I use the same carb with a pressure regulator that has an add-on gauge.
I like that idea! Test drive today, no leaks AND it started easier. Seems to run a little better going down the road too.
Needle and seat could be worn, it was fine for awhile with no regulator, then started dumping fuel and running rich, hence the regulator.
Problem i was having WITH the reg on was that i would "run out of gas" on acceleration and it would start bucking...
All new OEM gas tank, pump, soft lines, sending unit,; all vent connections installed to separator and canister...
I hope this will help the cold start after sitting for a few days... seems like gas would drain back down the line or boil out, making it require more cranking.
Could i have been creating a vacuum in the line with the reg? That old/new filter looked crushed??
May have to blow out vent lines too, but running the excess back to tank seems to solve!

It's possible that the pressure regulator could have been faulty. I don't know how a regulator could cause vacuum but a plugged filter could.
 
Those look fantastic. Could you post a measurement from a reference point to the top of seat cushion? I have a late model 40 that I am swapping some Corbeau buckets into, these look better, and the height of those seats would help with leg room. What adapter brackets did you use?

I modded the brackets to make them lower. I cut the ends off the tabs on the front and drilled new holes. I also bent the rear feet at less of an angle to match- which made it harder to bolt them in - had to use an open ended wrench 1/3 of a turn at a time. The wiring is tricky. There are two ground wires (brown) a positive red one that powers the big motors for back/forth/tilt/recline and a tiny positive one (red with black) that powers the lumbar/bolsters. The salvage yard tried to sell them without the mating connectors since they also sell complete wiring harnesses but I patiently explained this was for a project and I really needed them. So they sent someone to the yard and found a pair from a worse vehicle with wiring harness damage elsewhere and cut them out for me. The weird thing is they work only for 30-45 seconds when connected to my old motorcycle battery then stop until I remove power for a minute and reconnect. They probably are trying to communicate with the computer in the bmw m3 they came out with. So I may add a switch when I wire them up. I don’t adjust them much. Because of the height and wiring challenges I would suggest going with manual BMW seats. Although I’m super happy with mine. They are a little high for the steering wheel so, having added power steering a few years ago, I plan to change the steering wheel to a smaller one, maybe with a flat bottom and more dish (the rim closer to the driver). Note in the photo I’m measuring from the floor of the vehicle with a rubber mat that is 1/8-1/4” thick, the driver seat is raised a little- maybe 1/2 inch as I like the way that feels. I’m 6’2” in my socks with big feet and I’d like a little more knee room. I also wanted that with the stock seats though (I made brackets to move the stock drivers seat back and tilted up a bit).
