After removing a couple layers of paint from my ‘67 I found the original Spring Green. I really wish I had restored it to that, especially after seeing your picture. Would love to see more pics.
I saw a newly painted FJ40 in Spring Green a couple of years ago and whoever mixed the color made it a bit too bright. Didn’t do justice to the work the guy had in it.

There was a nice fj55 for sale in NC i think that was painted some sort of spring green. I felt it was too bright as well. I wil say most of my paint is worn out. Its a patina rig for sure. but I love that look.

Finally reassembling the front end after restoring the radiator. Took a break and installed a new horn relay and connector.
I washed it, drove around the block and put it back in the garage. It’s too hot out for anything else.
Love this. I had my hardtop built in Colombia. Very nice work you're doing.

I repainted my spring green ‘72 and it definitely looked more neon or bright or something. Did a few spray outs but the final product once all applied was just a little different. I was told it’s because they use ‘better’ and more vibrant clears in the single stage these days. Was a conversation starter everywhere we took it but I knew the color wasn’t quite as muted as it should be.
Don’t sweat it. Looks great! Call it Irish Spring Green, drink some whiskey and chill.
after a few years in the sum it'll be more muted again... true story it happened to a friend of mine...

There has been a lot written on various noise and temperature mitigation solutions for inside the cab. It seems that one of the most serious concerns involves dealing with trapped moisture and the possibility of causing a worse issue with hidden rust on the floor pans. Our rig came with a bed liner product on the floors and tunnel. We have rubber floor mats that can easily be removed and washed, but they have minimal insulation or noise abatement qualities. I considered the byutal adhesive products such as Dynamat, but ultimately any such application would still need to have something to lay over it. Though I may end up regretting it, I ended up going with a felt-type underlayment and a carpet for the front and cargo areas. Both are from SOR. They don't go completely under the gas tank so I did not have to remove the bench seat/fuel tank to install. (just had to remove the shift lever and rear heater to make holes. (Heated sockets with blow torch to cut holes) Took it for a short drive this morning and it does seem quieter but then again it may just be the Placebo Effect. So. the jury is still out on whether or not this is a keeper. I'll be on the lookout for any moisture accumulation on the floors. The good thing is that the entire installation was non-intrusive so that it can be removed and put on a shelf or chunked altogether.

I think that’s a pretty accurate spray of spring green. Looks exactly like what’s under my dash and in keeping with the ’groovy’ 1960’s colors. Definitely be worth investing in some bell bottoms and Birkenstocks to wear when you’re driving.
When I started sanding my tranny cover the green came through. Beautiful ’40 by the way.
In keeping with this thread, I got my new headlights to light up. After a completely new wiring harness, Koito light kit, engine harness, Dakota Digital Dash, sensors, relays and resistors (I think that’s everything), I really didn’t have much confidence anything would work. Hooked up the battery and the emergency flashers came on (hmmm, never had those before), got those turned off, turned on the headlights, low beam, high beam. Damn. Getting another step closer.
I think it was in ReddingCruiser’s thread where he said just try to accomplish one thing every day. There’s wisdom in those words.
