Woke up this morning to this cool anniversary gift from my wife. Wow, $3,320 MSRP. It is hard to imagine that a guy could buy three of these for $10k.

For $5,985.82 you could’ve bought my 77 new off the lot. 👍 love seeing old paperwork on these

In my previous life I had a few 50’s Ford t-birds…there was a place you could send in your VIN # and get the copy of your window sticker…

Does this option exist for the Land Cruisers?

By the way, in 1974..my FJ 40 was $4600 =/- . With Warn Hubs added on

Have you looked up the address? There’s a Toyota dealer ship there.
Yes I’ve taken my 40 there to pickup parts before it’s about a 30min drive. It’s pretty neat to be able to take it back to where it was originally sold. My grandparents were the original owners of my 40 they bought it from there in August of 1977.

And I thought mine was in bad shape. Back before forums I replaced my rear axle with a FF axle and parted out the semi-floating one. Back then I didn’t know some semi-floating axles used bearing races.

Just some winchety goodness happening.
When i say "rolling resto," i mean I'm in a campground😉.
Propane tanks plus a 2x4 and some cardboard got me to just the right height...
Now to crimp some wires and stretch that cable into the drum.
I sure hope this thing works😬
Period correct and perfectly aged.
