Phil, I'm curious to know what made you ask this question. Did you think there wasn't enough packing between the condenser and radiator or was it something else?

Air flow would be limited do to less surface area.:meh:
The good part is if its works in AZ it will work anywhere. :)

100% base lined and ready for the baby shower lol :zilla:

Someone else laid a wrench on your 80??? Blasphemy!!

Knowing how to work on your truck and trouble shooting issues are very important things, especially if you plan to take it into the woods. That said, I don't get why so many people on here look so down upon occasionally paying for labor. I work ~75 hours per week. Sometimes the last thing I want to do is change my diff fluid or slap on some new brake pads. I am happy to pay someone else for that convenience.

I’ve done plenty of work on my 80. I COULD change the oil but why the hell would I when I can pay $35 to the dealership and they will do it for me while I eat cookies and pie in the waiting area? I can’t buy oil and a filter for that.

I work a crazy number of hrs per week as well. I don’t have time nor do I want to make time to change the oil.

Every time I've taken any car in to a jiffy lube type place, I need an impact to get the drain bolt off and have to tear apart the filter to get it off too. Do they only hire gorillas or what?

Be thankful they put the drain plug back in and stop yer complaining!

I finally got enough of the barn cleaned out for my wife’s 80 to go back in.

The owner of the machine shop that rebuilt our 1fze is stopping after work Monday to do a borescope of the pistons. I don’t think he wants it to be the rings, but when I did a ‘scope, the .040” pistons still look new.

When it quit running well only 6k after the rebuild (4.6 with Yota pistons) I parked it. I only had two ok cylinders, but even they didn’t match with compression numbers.

Reviving "the wife's" 80

Someday I’ll be able to finish fabbibg the front bumper, and a rear one similar to what Luke builds at 4x4labs, but better.

My neighbor stopped over with his little old Kubota.

Which console is that? What did you do for mounting? Looks like a great fit!
Smittybilt Security Floor Console, Black - Part # S/B31715. Two bolts into the stock rear mounting location and one up front.

Took my pup for a ride in the ol’ 93 today. She was a good girl so she got some ice cream.

Got home and decided to replace the front pads on my son’s ol’ 92. Passenger side was down to the warning thingy. Started thinking about when I replaced them. Looked at the spreadsheet, sh!t only 10k miles ago.

Got to the driver’s side and found this... pads look like new.

So, what would cause there to be such uneven wear. Both pass side pads were the same. Both driver side pads were the same. But comparing side to side the pass side is doing all of the stopping or something.

Time for new calipers? Master cylinder? I don’t have any clue...

Well the first clue to me would be all the grease and oil on the brake caliper. The pads are not braking they are sliding. Fix the leaking oil and grease and make sure the caliper works.

Yep.

Caliper rebuild or renew and Front axle jobber up next. At least you are experienced now @LS1FJ40

Yeah, I’ve been putting it off. He needs tires, axle rebuild, and calipers...

The kid is expensive!

Operators are standing by. :)

Yep. I will be calling you. Need to inventory what I have for the axle rebuild. I think I have all of the bearings and just need seals. Can’t remember...
