I’ve done plenty of work on my 80. I COULD change the oil but why the hell would I when I can pay $35 to the dealership and they will do it for me while I eat cookies and pie in the waiting area? I can’t buy oil and a filter for that.
I work a crazy number of hrs per week as well. I don’t have time nor do I want to make time to change the oil.

Every time I've taken any car in to a jiffy lube type place, I need an impact to get the drain bolt off and have to tear apart the filter to get it off too. Do they only hire gorillas or what?

I finally got enough of the barn cleaned out for my wife’s 80 to go back in.
The owner of the machine shop that rebuilt our 1fze is stopping after work Monday to do a borescope of the pistons. I don’t think he wants it to be the rings, but when I did a ‘scope, the .040” pistons still look new.
When it quit running well only 6k after the rebuild (4.6 with Yota pistons) I parked it. I only had two ok cylinders, but even they didn’t match with compression numbers.
Reviving "the wife's" 80
Someday I’ll be able to finish fabbibg the front bumper, and a rear one similar to what Luke builds at 4x4labs, but better.
My neighbor stopped over with his little old Kubota.

Took my pup for a ride in the ol’ 93 today. She was a good girl so she got some ice cream.
Got home and decided to replace the front pads on my son’s ol’ 92. Passenger side was down to the warning thingy. Started thinking about when I replaced them. Looked at the spreadsheet, sh!t only 10k miles ago.
Got to the driver’s side and found this... pads look like new.
So, what would cause there to be such uneven wear. Both pass side pads were the same. Both driver side pads were the same. But comparing side to side the pass side is doing all of the stopping or something.
Time for new calipers? Master cylinder? I don’t have any clue...

Well the first clue to me would be all the grease and oil on the brake caliper. The pads are not braking they are sliding. Fix the leaking oil and grease and make sure the caliper works.

How's the length? Does it interfere with the middle seats folding down?
