I’ve been on Mud for 13 years. Same as you. I think there is some leeway to those of us that have been around...
Maybe, but I'd rather think we should be held to a higher standard. Lead by example and all that rubbish.

What are you newbies rambling on about??? :flipoff2::flipoff2:

Finally finished up the de-chrome the bling and painting on my 5 OEM rims. Hope to get them mounted next week. I painted them 2-tone like the CE and finished with a Satin clear. Everything was rattled canned with duplicolor wheel paint.

How did you get the chrome off?

Last weekend I went camping at Sugar Pine Point and got a chance to use my new drawer, both for storage and sleeping on. Worked great, but I still need to make a wing, better mounting, and cover with carpet.

Passed a few guys on the way home Sunday who looked like they had been at Rubithon. Hope I have a chance to participate some time in the future!

Started pulling off the bed lined bits. Sliders and swing outs and bumpers are next after I replace the alternator tomorrow since it's cranking out 17V at idle.

Had a friend call and tell me a local family member just had some trees removed and the wood was up for grabs if I could get it this week. Cruiser is still on jack stands, so had to press the LX into trailer duty. Keep trying to keep it to mall cruiser status, just can't seem to get there yet. The looks I get towing this thing are just priceless.

Probably 1.5 - 2.0 cords of wood, so worth hooking up the trailer. Still had another full load after this of the largest diameter pieces. Now just waiting to get the splitter back from the Amish repair shop it's at so I can get this mess put away.

Nice!

One cord is 4'x4'x8' ;)

Seen a couple of 80s, a 100 and a 200 on my way to Fernley NV tonight. When the 200 passed me, I was thinking, man I could almost get one and build it up as a pilot car, and it would be a write off. Lol or put a diesel in my 80 and use it as a pilot a few times. Then all mods could be write offs. Im surprised there is not like a overlanding/pilot car community out there.

How was it? Trail was still closed when I went up there last week.
